Bird Sampler & some Blog Candy

First a couple of cards and then the candy!

Both these cards were made with birds from Asela's new Bird Sampler set. It's being released on Wednesday and it is fabulous!!!
The humming bird stamp is part of the flowers. (one yellow and one pink) I masked the main image so that I could add some additional flowers. The sentiment comes with the set. I cover the card front with a piece of vellum that had the peek-a-boo circle cut out to help focus on the main image.

Stamps:
-Bird Sampler (Asela Hopkins) by Cornish Heritage Farms

Paper:
-Prismatic Island Mist Dark & Herbal Garden Medium
-Georgia Pacific Smooth White Cardstock-Gold Paper (unknown)
-Vellum (unknown)

Ink:
-Brilliance Graphite Black by Tsukineko
-Copic Markers

Tools:
-Circle Cutter

Accessories:
-Ribbon is Textured Trio by Michaels Stores, Inc.

Technique Used:
-Masking

This second card uses another bird from the set but the sentiment is from Classic Essential Expressions. Both of the cards were colored with copic markers.

Stamps:
-Bird Sampler (Asela Hopkins) by Cornish Heritage Farms
-sentiment from Classic Essential Expressions (Mona Lisa's Moments) by Cornish Heritage Farms
-Flora Backgrounder by Cornish Heritage Farms
-Weathered Wood Backgrounder by Cornish Heritage Farms

-Georgia Pacific Smooth White Cardstock

Ink:

Great blog candy! I love your samples of Asela's new stamps! I love Kim Hughes' line - esp the new sets U R A Hoot and Bold Curls are very cool! They are on my wishlist!

I think you should buy em all!!! Hee hee hee!!! I'm terrible, I know.

I have several sets on my wish list, and I just added Asela's newest sets to the top of it. How about one of her new sets?

Or if it has to be a set that is already in the store, how about Kim's latest owl set - U R A Hoot? I don't have any of Kim's sets, and they look like so much fun to play with.

I would choose the 'Quirky Alpahbets'...who can't use another alphabet, and it's so cute.

Thanks for the chance.

Hi Kristine...wow, I am so jealous that you are on the DT for CHF! Every week I seem to be over there adding things to my wish list...sigh!

These are some super cards...your coloring is awesome (of course, the stamps call for it!).

I want the Trees background, the Silhouette Blooms 1 and II as well as all the Thomas Kinkade (I can send my address if you like...ha! I kid!)...

Cheers!

I was going to say one of Asela's bird sets, but when I went to the CHF site as directed, I didn't see them. So from what I saw on that page, I would say "Time to Stamp" because isn't that what we all dream of having?
