Today, I thought I would share a couple of fun cards I made during Paperpretties Stamping in your Jammies virtual stamp night last week.



This card was made for the Way's to Use it challenge. The challenge was to use fibers. It's the first time I had inked up my How Sweet it Is set by My Favorite Things. The DP is by BoBunny Press.

Featured Stamper

I know I usually do a quick card on Monday's but I haven't even had time to stamp a quick card for you! I do have this card that I made for yesterday's featured stamper challenge on SCS.

Shelley (aka: Papermoon04) is such a sweetie. She always comments on everyones cards and she is a fabulous stamper too so I was excited to case one of her cards.

These great MFT images and the cute Paper Salon snowflake paper came in my November Card Class box from Paperpretties. I've been getting these kits for 8 months and I still get so very excited when I see that pizza box on my door step with each months supplies!

I also got a couple new MFT sets from the corner store. I hope to play with them tonight! I'll share with you tomorrow.

Mice Sketch ThankYou

I made this card for yesterday's sketch challenge. I am going to send it to Trudee to thank her for the AWESOME blog candy that I won from her. It arrived yesterday and I still can't believe that she was so very generous.

The little tin alone would have been great blog candy! It's full of ribbon, flowers, and all kinds of metal hardware.

I've never won any blog candy before so this is really exciting for me. I had nearly given up trying to win blog candy but now Ill have to start trying again!

Stamping In Your Jammies Fun

Monday night was our monthly Stamping in your jammies night. Stamping in your jammies is open to all the Paperpretties members. We all hop on line and then for three hours Christie issues a new challenge every hour. I missed the first hour tonight because I was at a business dinner but I caught the last two challenges! This one is the color challenge. The colors were dark purple, rust, and straw.

This one was for the sketch challenge. It uses my new MFT set "By the Seashore". I got it in my October Paperpretties MFT box.

Can you tell that I am loving my new nestabilities? They are so great because you can make scallop shaped squares, circles, ovals, and rectangles in a huge range of sizes. They work with nearly all the die cut systems. I finallly broke down and bought the cuttlebug one and it works great with these! It's not to late to join the Nestabilities club at Paperpretties. Then you can collect them a little at a time and not layout the big money all at once. And...don't forget, Christie is waiving the membership fee until October 31st!

Bouncing Brayer Challenge

I am sitting here in the Pheonix, Sky Harbor Airport on my way home from Denver and was excited to find that they have free wireless. Yeah!!! Well, it's Wednesday, so it's time to share my card that I made for the Paperpretties Design Team challenge. We are sharing them two weeks after the challenge to give time for everyone to receive their cards in the mail. This is the card I made with the bouncing brayer technique. I had never done this before. I used my fall colored spectrum pad so it screamed for Fall themed stamps. It was the perfect opportunity to use my new CHF set, "Lets get Stuffed".

This is the card that Julie Masse made me. It uses the new MFT set, Think Pink. Christie has this set and lot's of other MFT sets in the corner store. While you're there you have got to go check out the Nestabilities and Copics Clubs. This is such a great way to get these "have to have" sets in a convienent, economical way.

I haven't heard what today's challenge is but I'll let you know when I find out so you can play along too!

Pretty in Pink...

Today's color challenge on SCS was to use Pink. I have three new sets of stamps sitting on my craft table that haven't seen ink yet so I thought it would be fun to ink them all up for today's challenge.

My final card uses one of the new stamps from the Kim Hughes "Pretty Birds" by Cornish Heritage Farms. This is a great set. I am just beginning to play with all these cool birds!

Chocolate Bayou

Doesn't that sound like a really yummy dessert? mmmmmm...but it's not...it's a really yummy color combo. Chocolate, River Rock, and Blue Bayou was the SCS color challenge yesterday and when I started working with those colors I automatically went in to male card mode. I think I came us with a couple of great masculine cards!

I made this card for last weeks SCS sketch challenge. I just got this MFT birthday set from Paperpretties. I really like it but I am still getting used to the headless people Kim makes. The dress is paper pieced with DP from DCWV. This card is really bright and fun in person!

Celebrate School Starting!

Tuesday is the day I post celebration cards. This card celebrates the start of school! My kids go back tomorrow. I am excited. I work from home so summer is a little tough, especially since my house seems to be the teenage hang out house and the constant noise and activity makes it difficult to concentrate. I also like the scheduled craziness of the school year...school, soccer, band, etc. I made this card for a good friend of mine who is a teacher. I am giving it to her tomorrow with a couple boxes of crystal light which she drinks in water all day long. I made it with images Julie Campbell stamped for me. Kick it Up Friday!

It's Friday so I want to share a card that was a nice card to begin with but is even better when I "kicked it up" a little.

I used my SU stampin' around to stamp the dotted BG and then embossed the blue panel with a cuttlebug embossing folder. My friend Julie Campbell stamped these images for me. That's always a fun challenge to come up with a card design from images all ready stamped on paper that is all ready cut. I colored the images with my watercolor crayons and assembled as shown. This is a card that anyone could be proud to mail to a friend.

I didn't do much to "kick it up" but I think it makes a nice addition! I turned the coffee cups a little angled. This makes the card a little more interesting. I also popped all the images up on pop dots. Then I used scallop scissors on the white strip and added brads. Just a few simple additions to take a card to WOW!

Sketch Challenge Thursday

When I first saw this sketch challenge on Splitcoast it looked a little scary and I wasn't sure that I was going to attemp it. I kept thinking about it and finally decided to try it out. I wanted to use some of my new stuff I received this week from paperpretties.






The My Favorite Things stamps and this beautiful "Baby Bee" crate paper are available in the corner store at paperpretties. I wanted to use this umbrella lady image but she didn't quite fit so I cut the umbrella shape out which gives the card a little more interest.
