Friendly Kritter's Gift Box

If your are here for the CHF Summer Fling Blog Hop, click here!
I just posted a tutorial over on the Be Creative blog that takes you step by step through how to make this cute little box.
It may seem a little early for Christmas but it will be here before you know it! This box works great for any gift giving occasion. I make them a lot for putting a gift card in. A little more fun and interesting than just putting it in card. Hope your week is going well!

Thanks for stopping by!

Helpful Kritters

It's been awhile since I played with my Friendly Kritters, which is a shame since I love them Kritters so much! I pulled the "Helpful Chipmunks" out for this weeks Get Sketchy sketch.

Didn't make this card for anyone in particular but it's always good to have an extra friendship card on hand! The patterned paper is Basic Grey and I used Copic Markers to color it.

Thanks for stopping by! See you on Friday!

Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge #41

Cornish Heritage Farms is sponsoring the Midnight Madness Sketch Team this month. Their team has come up with some great cards using CHF Stamps!

I took today off work and had some time to play so I decided to try this weeks sketch. It worked perfectly for the newest Friendly Kritter's image, The Waiter, which will be released in one week!

I just love that Martha Stewart snowflake punch. You probably notice that I use it all the time! I have been having fun today playing with some High Hopes and Bella stamps that have been feeling unloved so check back soon to see what I've come up with!

Back to Reality...

Well...I truly hadn't planned on taking time off from posting on my blog but it seems to have turned out that way! On the 22nd the kids and I drove to the in-laws (400 miles north). Dad joined us on the 24th when he got off work. We spent a wonderful Christmas together and then had to get up very early on the 26th to get the kids to a noon rehearsal in Pasadena. I barely had time to unpack and do the laundry when the in-laws arrived at our house for the week of festivities at our house leading up to the Rose Parade.

We had two days at bandfest which is a terrific way to see all the bands that march in the parade. It's great fun for old Band Geeks like us! Early to bed on New Years Eve and out the door at 3 AM to get the kids to Pasadena to march in the Parade. We watched and cheered from the stands. Got all the decorations down and put away yesterday and waved good by to the in-laws this morning! Now I need to do some more laundry and get packed for a trip to Charlotte, NC for work...it never ends!!! But for us, life is starting to return to normal!

I missed posting the newest Friendly Kritters release on the 29th so I'll post a pic now and will try to get some posts scheduled for the rest of the week while I'm on the East Coast.

The new image is called Skunky Hairdo....another adorable one!!!

Friendly Kritter's Scripture

So glad for the weekend! Even though it was a only a four day week it seems like it took forever for Friday to get here! The best thing about Friday was the release of three new Mona Lisa Moment's sentiment sets! I have a couple of cards to share today that I made using the Friendly Kritter's Scripture set.

But you don't have to save these sentiments for your Friendly Kritter Cards...they work great on any cards! On this next one I used the "Thank You" sentiment from the set.

The layout was inspired by a card I saw in Papercrafts Card Creations magazine. The flower is from Shady Tree Studios.

I'll be back tomorrow with some cards I made with the new Doggie Expressions sentiment set. See you then!

Shimmerz & Frosty Friends

Cornish Heritage Farms and Shimmerz are having a little fun this week! Liz gave the Shimmerz design team some rubber to play with and Stacey gave the CHF Team some Shimmerz to play with! We'll all be sharing out projects with you for the next few days. I received a bottle of Pixie Dust Shimmerz Blingz and knew I had to try it on a snowy project so I pulled out my frosty friends stamp and came up with this.I tried to get a better picture of it to show the awesome shimmer that it has but my camera just isn't that great so you'll have to take my word for it...it's amazing! I used the shimmerz on the ground, the snowman, all the icecickles, the twill and on the sentiment panel. It is really cool IRL! I know this is something that I will be using a lot in the future!

Here's the deets:

Serve on Another in Love

For those of you that follow my blog-you know that I travel for work about once a month. I just got back from Mississippi and leave for Atlanta tomorrow! I hate that these two trips fell back to back.

I got home Friday afternoon, unpacked, cleaned up and went to my kids final Jazz Concert of the year. After a week of travel it was truly wonderful just to sit in the dark auditorium for a couple of hours and listen to all the kids play. How far they have come since September!

Saturday, I did 10 loads of laundry, went to the grocery store, and picked up the house. Today I need to get 3 or 4 meals ready for the family to eat while I am gone and pack for my Atlanta trip. I also needed to sneak in a little stamping for some new releases that are coming up!

This weeks release is a new Friendly Kritters image. I know I say this every time we release a new image but this one is truly one of my favorites! It's called Lending a Hand and it will be released on Thursday, June 5th! I was able to get some of the images colored while on the plane last week and got some cards put together quickly yesterday.
