Happy 2015!

It's time for the last Cornish Heritage Farms Blog challenge of the year!

It's also my last challenge as a Design Team member...at least for now :)
I am trying to thin out some of my DT commitments so I am stepping down from this team.

For the final challenge we are ringing in the New Year!

For my challenge card I used Champagne Glasses Digital stamp.

I colored the image with my copic markers and made it a fun stand up card by using my Sizzix XL Circle Stand Up die.

I created the sentiment on my computer.
Here's another look at this fun New Years Card!

Warm Greetings

The new Cornish Heritage Farms Blog challenge is to use a Thomas Kinkade image!
I love my Thomas Kinkade stamps but I am so busy with all my Christmas prep that I really did not have time to sit and carefully color one of these beautiful images.

So...here is the card that I made for the challenge with very little coloring!

I used The Night Before Christmas image for this card.
Here's what it looks like when it's closed up and ready to mail.

I used the new Stitch Circle and  Diezyne Half Circle Dies for my card.
I stamped the image in blue ink and colored the windows with copic markers.

The sentiment is from Script Essential Expressions.

Storybook Inspiration

It's time for another Cornish Heritage Farms blog Challenge!

Kelly has challenged us, and you, to create a card based on your favorite storybook character.

I couldn't really think of a favorite storybook character but this Thomas Kinkade image has always reminded me of a fairytale!

I'm sure that this is where all of the storybook princesses lived!

This is Guardian Castle.
I colored the image with Copic markers.

The sentiment is from the Script Essential Expressions set.

CHF: Sketch Challenge

Today I am playing with the latest sketch challenge from the
Cornish Heritage Farms Blog.

Here is the card that I came up with using Butterfly Fairy.

Here is the sketch that I used:

I printed the image out on my printer and heated it to make sure the ink was set.  Then I colored the image with Copic Markers and cut around the image so it would fit the sketch.

The sentiment is from the Script Essential Expressions set.

Make sure you check out what the rest of the team came up with!

CHF Masculine Challenge

It's time for the bi-weekly Cornish Heritage Farms Blog challenge!

This time Amber challenged all of us to create a masculine or little boy card.

I just love this fun digital image, Fisherman from CHF.

There are a bunch of great Men & Sports images available from CHF!

I printed this one out on white cardstock and then heat set it before coloring it with my copic markers.

I used Netting backgrounder by CHF for the background and the sentiment is from Script essential expressions.

The leather twine is by May Arts.

Loving Memories and Bright Hopes

It's time for another Cornish Heritage Farms Blog Challenge!

This time the challenge is to make something other than a card.

Here is a tag that I made for today's challenge.

I used Mushrooms Digital Stamp and colored it with copic markers.

Then I printed out the Here's Wishing digital sentiment and added it to my tag.

All the fabulous background color was created by sponging distress inks on to the tag.

CHF: Use 3 different Mediums

It's time for the bi-weekly Cornish Heritage Farms Blog Challenge.
This time the challenge is from Irit who challenges us to use 3 different mediums on our project.

Here is the card I made for this fun challenge:

My 3 Mediums?
1. I created the background by spreading acrylic paint on my creative palette and mixing it around.  Then I pressed a piece of white cardstock on to the palette and set it aside to dry.

2. I stamped the image with Memento Tuxedo Black dye ink. (I cheated because I have a rubber stamp of the Flower Jar image but you can get the digital version!)

3. I colored it with copic markers.

CHF: CHristmas in July

Hello All!

It's time for the bi-weekly challenge on the Cornish Heritage Farms Blog.
This time Ann Marie gave up this challenge this week to celebrate Christmas in July.

I decided to dust off my Thomas Kinkade Christmas stamp, Skater's Pond for today's card.

I used the Sizzix Square stand up card die for the card base.
Here's what the card looks like when it's folded.

One last view of the card from a different angle.

CHF: Summer Celebration

It's time for another Cornish Heritage Farms Blog Challenge.

This time the challenge is Summer Celebration!

Living in Southern California, one of my favorite things to do in the Summer is go to the Channel Island Harbor area and sit on the patio of a nice restaurant drinking wine and looking at the boats.

That probably explains why this Harbour Scene digital image is one of my favorites!

Here is how this fun card looks when it's closed up and ready to mail.

I used a Sizzix Square Stand Up die for the card base.
The finished card measures 5"x 5".

The image was colored with Copic Markers.

The sentiment is from the Script Essential Expressions rubber stamp set.

Here's a closer look at the fun background I created.

C4C239 Man Up!

It's time for another Cornish Heritage Farms Blog challenge and this time the challenge is to
"Man Up"
and create a masculine card.

I created this one with "It Doesn't Get Much Better" from the Thomas Kinkade line of rubber stamps from Cornish Heritage Farms.

I colored this one with Copic Markers but didn't go into as much layering and detail as I usually do to keep it a little more muted and masculine looking.

CHF: Watercoloring

It's time for the new Cornish Heritage Farms Blog challenge.
For this challenge, Irit challenged us to watercolor.

I used Watercolor pencils to color this Thomas Kinkade image.
Hopefully, that counts...

I used Staedtler Water Color Pencils to color the image.
Then I blended the colors with a watercolor brush.
