Stampendous Blog Hop

Welcome to the Stampendous! Blog Hop!!!

Technically my "Blog Star" gig is up, so I was so very excited to be asked to join in for the fun today!   The Hop started here if you want to start at the beginning.

Today's hop features the 3 newest Jumbo Cling Rubber Flower Stamps:

I know you are going to fall in love with these awesome new flower images and want/NEED  to have them all!

For my first project I used the Jumbo tulip set.  It was perfect for scrap booking these beautiful tulip pictures that I took on my trip to New York!

To make this page layer a 11 1/2" x 11 1/2" of red cardstock on to a piece of 12" x 12" yellow cardstock and then arrange pictures on the page.
Stamp Jumbo Tulip two times in Boss Gloss on white cardstock and emboss with Midnight black embossing powder.
Watercolor with Tim Holtz Distress inks.  Start by covering the image with Scattered Straw ink and then add Worn Lipstick.
Add Mustard Seed ink to the flower and use Pine Needles ink for the stem.
For the second flower paint the stem with Pine Needles ink and then cover the flower with Dried Marigold ink.
Add contrast with Spiced Marmalade ink.
Cut out both the Tulips and adhere to the scrapbook page.
Finish it off with the title and journaling box to achieve the finished page.

My second project is a little boxed card set that I made with Jumbo Tiger Lilly and H2o's watercolor paints.  I just love the sparkle these paints have.

Stamps:
Paper:
Recollections Cardstock
Watercolor paper
Ink:
Other:
LuminArte twinkling H2o's
Recollections black brads
Marcasite embossing powder

Directions:
Stamp the Tiger Lilly image on a 4" x 5 1/4" piece of watercolor paper and emboss with Marcasite embossing powder.

Paint flower image with sparkling H2o's watercolor paint.
Cover it with a light yellow color.
Add highlights with a light orange color.
Add the finishing touch with a dark orange.
Stamp "Hello" sentiment (from Happy Messages set) with Boss Gloss and emboss.   Back panel with a colored panel and then adhere to a black card. Install two black brads in the upper right corner
I stamped envelopes in matching colors and created a box to present the set in.

Well...you've barely begun the hop and I've gotten a sneak peek at some of the fabulous projects so make sure you hop all the way through to check them all out.

Your projects are amazing! Love the technique of using the distress inks to paint with! Great contrast on the notecards by coloring the flowers on the cards, and just leaving the white area on the envelopes.
