Stamped Tin Gift

Everyone loves getting those special gifts that someone made just for you!

You know that the giver spent time thinking about you during the creative process, and these gifts, while often less expensive than their store bought brethren, are cherished forever by the recipients. Given pride of place on fireplace mantels and bedroom dressers, used frequently with love, each time this gift is enjoyed the recipient stops to think of the giver.

Each day this week the Stampendous Design Team ladies will bring you some clever and creative ideas for making some of your own gifts this year. We hope we inspire and delight you with these ideas. And on Saturday, the whole gang will be back with more inspiration and creativity.

Today I wanted to share a metal tin that I stamped on.  I found the tin at Michael's Craft Store.
Stamping on it just adds that personal touch!

It's perfect for holding craft supplies or you could put a plant in it before giving it as a gift.

I stamped Ranunculous Field several times with Boss Gloss embossing ink and embossed with Detail Black embossing powder.  Use care when handling the tin as it gets hot when you heat it.

After embossing the tin I colored in the flowers with Sharpie markers and then glued the pearl trim around the bottom edge.

Michael's Shopping List:

  • Metal Container
  • Flower Field Rubber Stamp by Stampendous®
  • Stampendous® Boss Gloss Ink - Clear
  • Recollections™ Embossing Powder - Detail Ebony
  • Sharpie™ Marker
  • Celebrate It™ Beaded Ribbon
  • Scotch™ Quick Dry Adhesive by 3M®
  • Recollections™ Heat Tool

You can see more great gift ideas on these Blogs:

And of course there will be prizes!! Be sure to visit the blogs we list each day and comment on each one! We’ll be drawing for some of our favorite stamps for gift giving!
Hope this inspiration gets your mojo flowing!

Don't forget the final big blog hop we are having on Saturday!

Wow this is beautiful! I'm learning so much. I love that you embossed and colored with sharpies. I was about to give my sharpies to my daughter because I received a new set of marks. Thanks for the fun idea. TFS AJ-

This is such a terrific tin, Kristine! Love that it comes with a plastic liner so it's perfect for plants! Would be a fabulous storage bin for those Copic Reinkers as well!

OH MY!!!! I just love this little container. So darn cute. I'll have to see about making something like this for my craft room. Well, if I can find room for it in there, eh? Great job!
