Hoppin' with Staedtler

The STAEDTLER and Stampendous teams have been sharing projects all week long made using each other's products and today is the final hop!

Today I am sharing a couple of projects I made.
First, a card I made with another new Hot Air Balloon sets from Stampendous!

I colored the Balloons with STAEDTLER Aquarell Watercolor pencils.
I love how they turned out!

For my second project I played with some of the Microwave Fimo Clay that STAEDTLER sent me and made a little dish with the Jumbo Sunflower.

First I rolled out the Microwave Fimo Clay.
I inked up the Jumbo Sunflower with Ranger Jet Black Archival Ink and stamped it in the clay.

It looked like this when I lifted the stamp up.

I cut it out with my scissors and set it in a bowl to help keep the edges up.
Then I microwaved it for 10 minutes.

When I was taking it out of the bowl I accidentally broke it. (insert free comercial for Beacon quick grip which left it as good as new).

I embossed the center of the sunflower with Aged Ochre Embossing Enamel  and Champagne Glass Glitter from Stampendous.  I embossed parts of the petals with Jeweled Gold embossing powder and then used the  STAEDTLER Aquarell Watercolor pencils and a water brush to add more color.

Here's a close up view of the bowl.

When I shared my project with my teamie, Lea, she said it would be a great soap dish or even a dish for holding jewelry.  She was right!  So now it sits by the sink for just that!

I hope you enjoyed today's project...and are enjoying the hop!

Lovely card! The stamped balloons blend in with the background ones just the right amount. And your dish is great- what a great, unusual way to use a stamp.

Cool idea. I haven't used Fimo for years and I didn't know they made a microwave kind of clay. Thanks. I have that sunflower stamp.
