Dahlia Die

Welcome to Week 2 of July...the month to DIE for!

Yep. All of this month, the Dream Team are featuring our newest toys...our DIES! You'd be surprised at how many we have, and what fun things you can do with them...especially when used in conjunction with many of their stencil counterparts. They are such a simple way to create an effective card.

Here's mine for this week using DG743 Dahlia:

I started by die cutting the dahlia in the top half of a 6 1/2" x 3 1/2" white cardstock panel.  Then I stenciled LG691 Thank You on the bottom of the panel with Glossy Blue Embossing Paste and set it aside to dry.

My dark red card base measures 7" x 4".  I adhered a green panel to the left side of the card base.

I wrapped a piece of May Arts ribbon around the white panel before adhering it to the card.

For the final step I die cut scraps of patterned paper with the Dahlia die and pieced them on to the card.

I really love how this turned out and I hope I gave you some inspiration to "die for".

Check out the inspiration from the B team!

Love the upbeat feel of this card! Those colors on the white really POP! And adding the glossy blue paste-embossed thank you...was just that special extra touch you have.
