Cooking is Love Shadow Box Card

The latest Rubber Cafe' Creative Cafe' Kit of the Month is out.  It's called, "Now We're Cookin'" and I couldn't wait to dig into it and start making some samples for you!

My First card with the kit is an easy shadow box.

To create this fun fold card cut a 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" panel of patterned paper from the Echo Park "Made from Scratch" paper pad that comes with this months kit.

Then cut a 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" panel of white cardstock.

Score on the short sides of both panels at 1/2", 1", 4 1/2" and 5".

Die Cut an oval (or another fun shape) in the middle of the patterned paper panel.

Fold on the score lines so that the panel looks like this.

Cut a 3 3/8 x 4 1/8" panel of patterned paper.

Die cut a smaller oval (or other fun shape) in the center of the panel.

Adhere the panel to the white panel with Scrap Happy Glue.

Stamp the image in the center of the panel with Memento Tuxedo Black dye ink and color with Copic Markers.

Fold on the scored lines as shown in the picture.

Adhere the front and back of the shadow box together along the side edges with Scrap Happy Glue.

Decorate the front of the shadow box as you wish.

I used the silver gel pen that comes with this months kit to color the cookie sheet and the mixing bowl so that they look like metal.

This Shadow box card will fold flat and fit into a regular A2 envelope for mailing.

I hope you enjoyed my fun fold card today and that you'll give it a try!
