Today I have another shaker card that I made with this months amazing Rubber Cafe' January Cafe Kit! This kit comes with a great stamp set called "One Day at a Time". The patterned paper is a 6 x 6 pad, True Friend by Fancy Pants and Melissa included acetate sheets and matching sequins which just screamed out SHAKER CARD to me!!! I also used the add on stamp set "Believe" for today's card!
Today's card was inspired by a workout buddy of mine. She started a group of us local women trying to get focused on our health. Eating better and moving everyday. The goal wasn't any big amount of weight loss but just to move everyday...not to get hung up on long term eating plans but to just take it one day at a time. It's so over whelming to think about how much you want to loose or how long it might take so I love this idea of just taking it one day at a time. Everyday try to eat well, drink your water, and MOVE! Take it one day at a time and you will reach your goal!I lost 40 pounds this past year by doing just that...One Day at a Time!
I started with a 5 3/8" x 4 1/8" panel of patterned paper from the True Friends Fancy Pants paper pack that comes with this months kit.
Adhere a 5" x 3 3/4" panel of patterned paper with Scrap Happy Glue.
Adhere a slightly smaller panel of patterned paper with Scrap Happy Glue.
Adhere three pieces of tape to the panel. Then adhere large white sequins with Scrap Happy Glue.
Adhere panel to a top folding A2 card with Scrap Happy Glue.
Sprinkle some sequins in the center portion of the panel.
Die cut a panel of patterned paper using the A2 matting dies from Spellbinders.
This is what the die cut panel will look like after cuttting....no idea why it looks green in the picture.
Cut a piece of Acetate from the kit slightly smaller that this panel and adhere to the back with Scrap Happy Glue.
Adhere foam tape to the back of the panel.
Remove the backing from the foam tape and adhere to the card front covering the sequins.
Complete the card by stamping the scale, shoes, and sentiment on white cardstock with Scrap Happy Glue and coloring with markers. Cut out and adhere to card front as shown with Scrap Happy Glue.
