Joyful Song

Ready for fresh air, sunshine, new leaves, and flowers blooming?

Well, the Dream Team is right there with you! Our challenge for the month of March is...coincidentally...Marching into Spring. Per usual, we'd love to have you play along with us, and link your own creations to the Inlinkz tool on the Dream It Up! blog, or at the bottom of this post. Play as many times as you'd like.
Those of you who work Dreamweaver and/or Stampendous products into your projects receive bonus points, but everyone has an opportunity to be the winner who receives the stencil of their choice.

Here's my hint of Spring:

To create my card I started by scribbling Artist's Paintstik Oil Paint on my craft mat.

I picked up the paint with my brush and created clouds on a light blue panel of cardstock with my Picasso tool.

Then I secured my stencil (Bird and Blossom)on the panel and stenciled with white embossing paste.

This is how it looked when the embossing paste dried.

Then I lay the stencil back over the stenciled image.

I sponged ink on to the image to color it.

This is how it looked when it was colored.

I removed the stencil and then trimmed the panel down and created my card.

The sentiment is from Regal Bird Quotes from Stampendous.

The "B" team would love to share their interpretations of this theme:

Thanks for the tutorial on the Paintstik clouds! REallly cool how that was done on blue paper....and the innovative coloring on the paste-embossed image with the color stix is great.

Wonderful technique and card!!!! So love the hidden 'trick' of applying clouds on blue c/s first!
