Baby Elephant

Ever use the expression, "When it rains, it pours"? This does not have to be a bad thing, does it? For the month of April, the Dream Team are featuring "Showers of Showers" as our theme. As usual, we'd love for you to play along. Just link your creation on the Dream It Up! blog for a chance to win the stencil of your choice...bonus chances for incorporating Dreamweaver and/or Stampendous in your design.
Here's what I'm showering you with this week...

I made a fun Baby Boy Congratulations card which would be perfect for a baby boy shower!

I used Dreamweaver's Open Elephant Stencil as the focal point for my fun card.

I created the blue embossing paste by adding blue acrylic paint to regular embossing paste on my craft mat and mixed it together with my palette knife.

This is how it looked after it was thoroughly mixed.

Then I taped the Open Elephant Stencil to my white cardstock and spread the blue paste on with a paste Spreader.

I used my Sizzix Charming Stand Up Card Die.
This is what it looks like when its closed up and ready to mail.

This is the backside of the card so you can see how I covered up the regular cut out with the circle panel to make a circle stand up card.

And here's the front again when it's set up for display.
The sentiment is from Stampendous Perfectly Clear stamp set, Say it today.

I absolutely love this card, especially your using the diecut in another way! The color of the elephant is perfect with the pattern block paper.
