Never Ending Halloween Card

I am back with the third card that I created with the September Creative Cafe' Kit of the Month.

This month's kit is called Monster Bash, and as always there is an exclusive coordinated stamp set, Spooky Feet and an add-on set you won't want to miss called Monster Lab both sets come with enough images to give you endless creative options for all your Halloween needs!

For my card today I used stamps from both the kit stamp set and the add on set.

This is called a Never Ending Card.
It's a little difficult to explain how it was created but I am going to try!

But first, let's take a look at it.
Here is page 1.  It measures 6" x 6".

When you open the card and flip the sides around to the back you get page 2.

Open again and see page 3.

And finally, flip the pages open and get the final side.

If you flip this side open, you will be back to page 1.

To create the never ending card start by cutting your cardstock:
From the yellow cardstock:
Cut 4 pieces, each 3" x 6" for the card base.

From the teal cardstock
Cut 8 pieces, 2 3/4" x 2 3/4"
Cut 4 pieces 2 3/4" x 1 1/4"
Cut 16 pieces, each 1 1/4" x 1 1/4"

From White Cardstock:
Cut 8 pieces, 2 5/8" x 2 5/8"
Cut 4 pieces 2 5/8" x 1"
Cut 16 pieces, each 1 1/8" x 1 1/8"

To create the card base score each of the 3"x 6" yellow panels at 1 1/2" and at 4 1/2" with your score buddy.

Then turn each of the pieces sideways and score at 1 1/2" down to the other score lines.

Place two of the panels next to each other, horizontally.
Place the other two panels next to each other, vertically.
I placed the square patterned paper on the corners to show you the placement of the Scrap Happy Glue.

Flip the two panels on the right directly on to the panels on the left so that the glued corners meet.

It will look like this after it's flipped.

Open the flaps and flip them behind the panel.
This picture shows the flip in progress.

Then flip the entire card over.
This is side one...now you can decorate it.

Here are some side by sides to show how I decorated each of the pages.

Here is page one.

Page three.

Page four.
(note: I trimmed the white panel down a 1/4" and added the additional polka dot panel)

It's hard to get the feel of the card from still pictures so I did a short video on my I Phone to show you how the Never Ending Card works.
Not happy with the quality but I think it will help you visualize the finished product much better.

One last designer tip I will give you is too create a quick sample out of  printer paper or throw away card stock. so that you can get a feel for the folds and not mess up with the good paper!

I hope you enjoyed today's Creative Cafe' Kit card!
