Christmas Corner Card

Hello Rubber Cafe' Fans!

Kristine here today with my second card that I made with the October Kit of the Month Club.   This month's kit called Creative Christmas!

The kit includes Echo Park's 6x6 pad- The Story of Christmas by Designer Lori Whitlock, and tons of amazing ribbons and other embellishments.

For today I used all of the available stamp set called Home for the Holidays that is included with the kit, the add on set, Hearts of the Season, and the bonus set, Christmas is Coming.

Today's card was inspired by some that I saw on Pinterest.
I'm calling it a Corner Card!

It looks like a regular 4" square card.

But when you open it, you get this cool pop up corner card.
And...you can stash a note or a gift card in it!

To create this card start by cutting 4 panels from white cardstock measuring 3.5" x 3.5".

Cut four panels of patterned paper, 3.75" x 3.75".

Cut one of the white panels and one of the patterned paper panels in half diagonally.

Then stamp images on the white panels and color. (I used prisma pencils)

Back the colored images with the patterned paper panels with Scrap Happy Glu.

Cut a panel of cardstock 8" x 8".
Score at 4" and flip around and score at 4".
Then score the two bottom squares diagonally.

Adhere the prepared panels to the scored cardstock panel with Scrap Happy Gluas shown.
Adhere a strip of Scor-Tape on the bottom left portion as shown.

Remove the paper from the Scor-Tape strip.
Fold the left side of the panel on top of the right side like you are closing a book.

Adhere the santa panel to the top portion of the panel with Scrap Happy Glue.
Add Scor-Tape to the bottom left panel as shown.

Remove the paper from the Scor-Tape and the fold the top corner on to the corner with the tape.

It should look like this when you get this far.
You can slide a gift card or a note in the slot that was created.

Then you can fold it up so it can be flat and fit into an envelope.

I hope you enjoyed today's card.

Check back all month long to see all the amazing projects by the rest of the team!
