I have a Vintage style card to share with you today.
I actually made this for my DT post last Friday on
The Rubber Cafe has a bunch of really cool Vintage style stamps and I used a few of them for this project.
For this card I used:
I stamped the Roaring 20's Placard on the light purple card base with grey ink. For the main panel I started with a 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" piece of Pugnacious Signature White paper. I put a little instant coffee into a spray bottle and added some water and then randomly sprayed the paper to give it an aged look.
I allowed that panel to dry and then I inked up Paris Nights Background I covered the Eiffel Tower with VersaMark ink and the rest of the stamp with Lilac Posies Memento ink and stamped it on the aged panel. Then I sprinkled silver embossing powder over the tower and embossed it.
I stamped the clock a couple of times randomly in brown ink and then I tore the edges of the panel. I sponged Ranger Antique Linen ink on the torn edges and then added a little silver embossing in a few spots.
I covered the Fleuradidy 2 stamp with Scrap Happy Glue and let it sit for a minute before rubbing Purple Rocks glitter all over it. You can see Melissa demonstrate this awesome technique HERE!
I finished off the card by sewing the distress panel to the card front and added a strip of vellum that I had stamped the vintage sentiment on. Then I added a couple of buttons.
Finally, I stamped the butterfly image from the Vintage Treasures on a piece of paper, cut it out, colored it with chalk and added it to the card front.
Thanks for stopping by....have a great rest of your weekend!

Very nice. A bit different than your usual style! I like it, a lot! Love the idea of using the coffee to age the paper, great technique. TFS!
