Charging Rhino?

Kristie, the Design Team leader for the QKR Stampede team asked a few of us to join her in posting a humorous card using QKR stamps so I made this card with Tripping Rhino

The sentiment on the front is half of the Stop a Rhino stamp.
I used the other half on the inside of the card.

You can see some more funny cards on the QKR Blog, Kristie's Blog, and Roxie's Blog.
And you'll find some fun and humorous stamps in the QKR Stampede Store.

Have a happy Friday and a great weekend!!!

A Single Rose

Happy Thursday!

I am so glad you stopped by today.
I have a simple but striking card to share with you today.

I made this for the QKR Stampede Blog last week but haven't had a chance to share it here.

I made this card with Rose by QKR Stampede stamps.  The image is available in red rubber and digital.

The frame is a Spellbinders Die.  I embossed the white panel with a Cuttlebug embossing folder.
The Rose image is colored with Copic Markers.
The Bling is Jellie Dots by The Rubber Cafe.

I left the sentiment off so that the card could be used for almost any reason...birthday, sympathy, wedding...or just because!  QKR Stampede stamps has any sentiment you might need!

Happy Stamping!

Another EWE

Happy Thursday!

I hope your week has been going well.  I am looking forward to the weekend and hoping to have time to stamp!
I am starting to stock up on cards to send to my son while he is away at college and this is one that I made.  Like most 17 year old boys he doesn't like bright, froo-froo cards.  I think he'll like this one because it's monochromatic and simple.

Smiling Turtle

Happy Thursday!

I hope you are having a great week!

Today I have a bright to share with you that I made with this fun turtle image, In the Rain.
QKR Stampede has a bunch of really cute turtle images that you can see HERE.

I stamped the turtle with Memento tuxedo Black dye ink and colored him with Copic Markers.
The pattered paper is from lillybeedesign's Head over Heels tiny tablet.
I punched the flowers from the paper and adhered Dew Drops to the center of the flowers.

I decorated the inside of the card using the
Your Smile sentiment.

That's all I have for you today!

Have a great rest of the week and thanks for stopping by!

Love Struck

I have had this image colored and sitting on my desk for a couple of months so I finally decided to quit moving it around and do something with it! I was feeling a little challenged because it's a pretty large image but I finally decided that the best way to deal with it was to use the out of the box technique to help it fit on a 5 1/4" square card base.

Here is Howling Coyote by QKR Stampede.

I colored the coyote image with Copic Markers.  Kept the card design simple since the image is so big.  This fun image is great for a thank you card, love, or just because and it's available in red rubber or digi.

thanks for stopping by!

March QKR Blog Hop

Welcome to the next stop on this month's QKR Stampede blog hop!

You should have arrived here from Kristie's blog.
If you want to start at the beginning of the hop go HERE.

For this months hop we are focusing on all the great bird images that QKR has.

Kristie just invited me to the hop last week so I didn't have time to order a bird stamp but I went through my stash of QKR Stampede stamps and found this Stork.  Storks are birds....right?

I decided to make a boy card....

and a girl card!  I have a pregnant friend right now and no idea what she is having so now I am ready for anything!

Thanks for hoping with us today!

Next Step on the Hop is Roxie!

Gatefold Cake Card

Happy Monday!

I have a wedding card to share with you today!  I had made this card for my sister when she got married last November but then when it came time to send off her gift I couldn't find where I had stashed it.  Of course I found it shortly after.

I used a die cut Gate Fold card from Creative Cuts & More cut from grey paper to begin with.

The cake is from QKR Stampede stamps.  The sentiment is from Eureka Stamps.

The "bling" is Nestabling from The Rubber Cafe.

Here is a closer look with the band pulled off.

And a look at the inside.

And in case you were wondering about the color choice for this card....

Here is my sissy and her 13 (yes, I said 13!) bridesmaids!

Hope you have a great week!

Season's Greetings

Ok...don't laugh but It is starting to feel like winter here in California so I thought I would make a winter card for you today.

I know that those of you in snow country don't think we really have winter but it's cold and rainy so it's winter to me!  One of the things I love about winter is that I can be in the snow in 2 hours but I don't have to live my day to day life in it!

Here's my snowy card! I just love the cool feel of pink and teal together.

And....a little closer look....

This adorable image is "Best Friends" from QKR Stampede.

I hope whatever stage of winter you are experiencing, you are staying warm and cozy!
