Three weeks till graduation

At our house we are clicking off the days till my daughter graduates high school. This week we had her very last band concert and Senior Awards night. Next week is finals and the end of year band banquet. Feeling sad that this stage of her life is over but very happy and excited for her as she gets ready to head off to Cal Poly SLO in a few months! Of course we have other graduations to think about as well. I made a couple of more graduation cards that I wanted to share with you today.

This one is for one of my daughters friends. I still love this awesome Kim Hughes Owl image! I used the Super Saturday Sketch for inspiration.

This one is for one of my best friends daughter who is graduating next week. It's the first easel card that I've made. Much easier than I thought it would be. I know I will be making more of these! I'm sure I don't have to tell you that the adorable little mouse is a Penny Black image!

And this one is for my nephew who is graduating a few days after my daughter. I just love this fun digital image from Dustin Pike! The paper on all of them is The Paper Studio from Hobby Lobby.

I hope you enjoyed these cards! Have a great Friday and thanks for stopping by!

I need a "Hog"!

I need to send this card to myself because I need a little "hog"! LOL!

It's been one of those Mondays around here. I woke up next to a big puddle of dog pee on my bed. Have been suspecting that our lab might have an infection as she tries to pee a lot on our walks and nothing comes out. The peeing on our/her bed is another sign. She's had it before so I'm pretty sure that's the problem. Going to the Vet's this afternoon and have all ready done 4 loads of bedding laundry.

Last night the sink was draining really slowly. When I got up this morning there was still water in the sink...not good!!!

And then finally, I turned on my work laptop today and it's got some crazy virus and won't work right. After an hour on the phone with my IS department, the laptop has been packed up and shipped to the corporate office. Oh well...things could be worse, I know...

I made this card out of some extra paper I had. I just love this cute piggy. Makes me smile...even on a MOnday like I am having! I hope you are having a much nicer Monday!

Take Care!

Sending a little Hog

This card was made with some of the new stamps I bought with my birthday gift certificate. Both the image and sentiment is by Penny Black. I thought they would be great for making quick "pick me up" cards.

Working on getting the inside ready for Christmas this weekend. We got our tree nearly two weeks ago and set it up in the family room and I haven't even put the lights on. Usually I put the lights on and my daughter puts the ornaments on. Then I come back with the ribbon and beads. I have told myself, "self-no stamping until the decorations are up and the tree is decorated!" Hopefully, I'll finish Saturday so I can stamp Sunday.

Hope you get a chance to stamp too! Happy Weekend!

A Quick Birthday Card

I am trying to schedule this post.   Hopefully my plane has taken off and I am on my way to Alabama as this post hits the blogisphere!

Just a quick and easy birthday card that I threw together with some odds and ends that I had laying on my desk.  The image is a Penny Black image that someone stamped for me and the sentiment is an SU stamp that another friend stamped for me a while ago!   I just love those little mice!

Hope your week is off to a good start!

Kim & Penny

Here's a couple of quick cards I made with some cute images my friend Christina sent me to play with. Of course you can recognize Hedgie and ducklings as Penny Black images! The sentiments are from Kim Hughes, Scripty Words set. I sent one of these cards to Christina to thank her for the images. I sent her a few Friendly Kritter images too. I can't wait to see what she does with them.

Going to a concert in the park that my daughter is playing in to celebrate the 3rd of July. They will have fireworks afterwards. I think it must be cheaper for the city to do 3rd of July fireworks. So, 3rd of July fireworks has become one of our traditions. On the 4th we are going to the Rose Bowl to watch a Drum & Bugle Corp competition and see more fire works! Should be fun!

Hope you have a fun and safe holiday too!

Square Cow

I didn't get much time to stamp today as we were out running errands most of the day. I just had enough time to get this card made. The idea was in my head all day. I made this card for Jenn's sketch challenge. I love this sentiment stamp by Amuse and look for any excuse to use it. Isn't she adorable?
Stamp: Penny Black, Amuse, Stampin' Up!
Ink: black, saffron, ballet, caramel, blush
Paper: mustard, ballet, white, Prints Pallet
Accessories: Brads, ribbon, ticket corner punch

Sketch Challenge Card

Well, I am home from Minnesota. The weather was absolutely beautiful. It was a really quick trip. I flew out Monday morning and got back Tuesday night. I couldn't get to sleep when I got home so I got up and stamped a little. This card is for Wednesday's sketch challenge. I just happen to see that the challenge had been posted late last night. I like this sketch an may try a couple more of these tonight. I started with the Polk a dot paper scrap that's been lying around my table for my jumping off point.
Stamps: Penny Black, Stampin' Up!
Paper: Lovely Lilac, Polk a dot source unknown, summer sun, white
Ink: black, amethyst, lilac, summer sun
Accessories: gray watercolor crayon, H2o brush, eyelets, cuttlebug embossing folder
