It's Friday!!!

I hope your have something fun planned for your weekend.  Both my kids are away this weekend so big shocker...I'll be stamping!  

Today, I have another Stampendous project to share that I made for the new Catalog.

This is a scrapbook page I made of my kids....and for those of you who follow me you may notice something a little off about this page.  Can you guess what it is? Well...if you think you know please leave a comment telling me what is wrong with this page and I will choose one winner from the correct guesses to win the Wreath Snowman stamp that I used on this page!

I used the new Cling Jumbo Pinecone Boughs too.
I created "snow" with Winter Wonderland Embossing Powder

The letters were cut with my Cricut.

I am so excited to share this project with you today!

When the fabulous Laura from Stampendous was at CHA she met the people from this incredible company, stkr.it and they were kind enough to share their awesome stickers with our Design Team!

This is a scrapbook page of the Tournament of Roses Herald Trumpets which my son was honored to be in during his Sophomore year in High School, 2009.

The Rose is Jumbo Cottage Rose from Stampendous.
I colored it with Spectrum Noir Markers!

Fall Fun Scrapbook Page

I wanted to share a project I made for last weeks Rubber Cafe Blog post.

A day at the Pumpkin Patch is always such fun and a great place to take pictures too!  And if you are a Scrapper like me they are probably among your favorites to scrap!

This is a 12 x 12 layout.

I used Falling Leaves and Pumpkin and Corn stamps.

The title was created with some old sticker letters that I have had in my stash forever.

The cream panel under the pictures is for journalling but I haven't done it yet!

I used Spellbinder Label Fourteen for the Pumpkin and Corn embellishment.  I stamped it once on a cream panel and once on a larger rust panel.

After I colored the cream panel image I adhered it to the larger rust panel with Scrap Happy glue matching up the image.

For the leaf borders I stamped the Falling Leaves image several times in a row on a 1" cream strip and colored them with Copic Markers.

The punch is a Martha Stewart border punch.

Scrappy New Year!

I am starting out the new year with a commitment to working on my scrapbooks more often so I thought I would make a layout for today's Prism Color Challenge over in the CHF Forums.

Today's colors are:
Classic Red
White &
Black



I chose these colors because they scream New Years to me but also because they were perfect for scrapping the pics from the Pasadena Honor Band that the kids were just in!

Oregon Sketch Layout

It's been a while since I got to do a layout challenge but when I saw the sketch for today I knew I wanted to play. Here is the sketch:

I kept my page pretty simple and stuck pretty close to the sketch. I found these old pictures from a trip we took to Oregon a few years ago and thought they would work great with the Scene it stamps.

Garret's Posse Layout Challenge

Eagle Scout Layout

I just love today's CHF Layout Sketch challenge. As soon as I saw it, I knew that I wanted to scrap one of the pictures from Garret's Court of Honor last week.  Here is my finished page!

 

The large red stars are from Kim Hughes Supah Star set and are stamped with Palette L'Amore Red ink.

The Court of Honor banner, Title letters and Eagle badge stickers are by K & Co..

Joshua Tree Sketch Layout

I've skipped the last couple of layout challenges that we've had over at CHF but when I saw todays sketch I knew I had to play!

 

How fun is that?  The dark gray panel is perfect for any of the new 8 x 8 scrapbook papers that CHF now carries!   I have been working like a mad woman trying to get my sons Boy Scout Album caught up so I used this great layout sketch to scrap one of his recent trips to Joshua Tree National Park.

 

I had a few more pictures from the trip so I ended up making this into a double pager!

July 4th sketch challenge

I haven't had time to play with the bi-weekly sketch challenges lately so I really wanted to play today. Lesley created this sketch for us. It's an 8 x 8 layout which I don't usually do but it was a fun challenge for me!

For the 4th of July, we went to the Rose Bowl in Pasadena to watch a Drum and Bugle Corp exhibition and then saw an amazing fireworks display. I printed off a few of the pictures for this layout. Please link back your layout if you get a chance to try this challenge!

I have been buried deep in my craft room working on Garrets Scout Album and I am happy to say that it is all caught up now! I am so happy with the pages I have made. Here's two more that I completed last night.

The first one is from last Memorial Day. Garret's Boy Scout troop helps the American Legion with their ceremonies every Veterans and Memorial Day. Garret plays his trumpet, the names of our towns fallen heroes are read and they retire many, many flags.

Layout Challenge #6

Today's layout challenge was a fun one. I like it because it's made for lots of pictures and I had a bunch from Tyler's 16th birthday party last week! Here is the page I made for the layout challenge:

It got a little busy but I think it's still fun. The title was made with Tim Holtz grungeboard letters which were painted with Broken China Distress Crackle Paint. I put a little of the same paint on the 7 gypsie's tag too.

I still had quite a few pictures that Tyler wanted scrapped so I decided to make a double page layout. I didn't have anymore of this designer paper so I made my own that worked out really well.

Only Lesley and Julia are playing along today but check out there pages. They are my layout idols so I'm sure they came up with something terrific!

It's Finally Scrapblocks(TM) Day!!!

Today is the day that CHF releases their new Scrapblocks (TM). These are awesome 6 x 6 background images which are perfect for scrapbook pages and cards! I have quite a few projects to share with you. I hope you enjoy them!

This card is a 5 1/4" sqaure card which uses the Houndstooth Scrapblock (TM):



















This is a scrapbook page that I made using the Houndstooth and Writing Paper Scrapblocks (TM):



















One of the coolest things about these 6 x 6 Scrapblocks (TM) is that because of their size you can use them for portrait AND landscape oriented cards. I used writing paper for both these cards and colored the lines in to make cool designer paper!!!

Happy National Scrapbooking Day

Today is National Scrapbooking Day! When I first started this blog my intention was to share stamping and scrapbooking. Over the last few months I have really gotten away from the scrapbooking.
