Hopping with Maya Road and Stampendous

The Stampendous Stamps Design Team has been playing with Maya Road product all week long and sharing all the fabulous creations!

Today is the final day and we are celebrating with a hop!

You should have arrived here from Krissy’s Blog but if you’d like to start from the beginning go to Asia's blog!

Maya Road sent me a 4" canvas binder to play with.
I wasn't really sure what to do with the canvas and I was afraid to wreck it because I only had the one album.  I LOVE how it turned out and hope you will too!

To create the cover of the album I sprayed the canvas cover with Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist and let it dry.

Next I created the sand with lots of fun powders from Stampendous.
I used Golden Sand Embossing powder, Gold Medium Halo Glitter, Aged Gold Embossing Powder,  and Mohagany Tinsel Embossing Powder.
I lay the canvas cover on a piece of thin card stock so that I could heat the powders from underneath until they melted.

I stamped the title using Tiny Alphabet.  The ca are Maya Road's Jonathan mini Alphabet.
I covered them with VersaMark ink and covered with Heat and Bond. I heated them until tacky and then covered with them with Sunflower Micro Glitter and then adhered to the album.
The shell background stamped on white cardstock and colored with Copic markers.
Then I cut the shells out and adhered to the front of the album.

I had a blast creating the pages inside.
I used Air travel, Baggage Claim, and  Old World Map on the left side.
I stamped the canvas page on the right side with luggage labels using Ultramarine Stazon ink.
I stamped all the cities with Tiny Alphabet.

For the left side I stamped shell background with Ultramarine Stazon ink.
I embossed Golden Sand Embossing powder on the bottom of the right page.

The Butterflies on pages 5 and 6 are from Butterfly Charms.
I created the little pull out piece for journaling.

Here are pages 7 and 8.  This time the little pull out has an extra picture.

Here are pages 9 and 10.

Here's a closer look at the detail.
I heated Aged Spice Embossing powder on the edge of page 9.

To create the glitter around the picture on page 10 I adhere a square piece of sticky panel
to the page and then adhered the picture to the square sticky panel.

Then I sprinkled copper Micro glitter around the edges of the picture.

These are pages 11 and 12.
I sewed the picture to a canvas page on the right side.

The tabs on the right each have a picture that pulls out.

And here are the last 2 pages in the album.

Well...this ended up being a really long post.
I hope you enjoyed my little mini album.

Next stop on the hop is Lea!

Thanks for hopping with us today!

This is fantastic, Kristine! I always forget to add little features like your pull out tab photos! Love that look. And your glitter on sticky panel is a perfect example of our Sticker Background Technique from 2008! Thanks so much for playing!
