Fisherman Flip Card

Today I have a  fun flip card to share with you!  I made it with the June Creative Cafe' Kit - Let's Hear It For The Boys from The Rubber Cafe'!  This is a terrific kit for all those "DAD" cards and Father's Day is just around the corner!

My project is a Father's Day card using the main stamp set from the kit called Just Men

Here's the front:

And here's the back when you pull it open:

Here's a short video that I took showing the fun part of the card that you can't see in a still photo.

To make this card start with a 6 3/4" x 5" panel of cardstock .  You will need a circle template to trace around.  I used a Spellbinder die but you could use a cup, a can, or something else that you have around the house.  Place the circle template about an inch from the left edge.  Score at 2 1/2" x 3 3/8" on the top and bottom of the circle.  You can see the score lines better in the next picture.

Use a craft knife to cut around the circle on each side of the scored lines to create the flip card.

Here's a picture of mine after I cut around the circle. Note how I didn't cut past the scored lines.

I added a 1/2" strip of blue patterned paper to the left side and a 1 1/2" strip of striped patterned paper to the right side with Scrap Happy Glue.  Then I stamped the words and image on a white die cut circle panel and adhered it to the card with Scrap Happy Glue.

Flip the card over and adhere a circle panel of patterned paper.  Stamp the man image on a smaller white circle panel and then adhere to the patterned paper panel.

Stamp the front and back of "Dad" on a panel of white paper.  Color the images and then cut out close to the edge of the image.

I trimmed the "wobblers" that come in this months kit and adhere one to each of the cut out images.

The final step was to stick these images on top of the stamped images on the cards.
Last look....here's the front with the fish image that I added.

Here's the back!

I hope you enjoyed today's flip card!  It looks more complicated than it is!  Jump in and try it, I think you'll be thrilled with the results!
