SANDY Claus is Coming to Town!
Yes...SANDY Claus! All of this week, the Stampendous and Dreamweaver teams are playing with a mix of their products, along with some wonderful, SAND-ABLE papers from Core'dinations. Join us as we sand our way to the "core" of all things Christmas and the Holiday season. Of course, there will be prizes, and we give away the best...this time with a mix of funCore'dinations products as well. To be one of three prize package winners, follow the posted link lists each day, leave a comment, and winners will be selected from these comments at the beginning of next week. Here is what you might win:
Here's what I'm showing off today...a festive 5" x 7" canvas to hang on the wall!
I started with a 5" x 7" canvas and colored Gelatos across the surface.
Then I blended it with a wet wipe, purposely adding in some white to make it look windy/snowy.
Before stenciling I found a block that fit perfectly in the space on the back of the canvas which allowed me to create a flatter surface to stencil on.
I taped the Heart Ornaments stencil on to my canvas with Removable Magic Tape being sure to cover the hearts.
I mixed green acrylic paint with matte embossing paste and stencilled the branches on to the canvas.
While it was still wet I sprinkled Ultra Fine Glitter on the branch.
When the branch was dry I replaced the stencil and stenciled the hearts and string with embossing paste that I created with red acrylic paint and regular embossing past. Then I covered the hearts with Red Micro Glitter and let dry.
When dry, I dumped the loose glitter back into the jar.
Then I tore the edges of some Core'dination glitter Cardstock.
I colored the torn edges with a B000 Copic Marker and then adhered it to the bottom of the canvas.
To finish my canvas, I stamped the images from the Jumbo Cling Rubber Forest Friends stamp set on white cardstock with Memento Ink and colored with Copic Markers. Then I cut the images out and adhered to the canvas.
I adhered the red ribbon on to the edges of the canvas to create my hanger.
Here's a closer look...
And here's a better view of that fantabulous Core'dination Snow!
I hope you enjoyed my project today!

Like the snowy animal scene. Reminds me of Bambi with Thumper.
