Winter Themed Birthday Card

It's time for the weekly Crazy4challenges Blog challenge!
This is my last week participating as a DT member for a while....just trying to thin out my work load a little bit.  I'll still play with them from time to time!

This weeks challenge is to make a Winter Themed Birthday Card.

Perfect timing because I needed just such a card for my friend Laura!

I still had this Penpattern Penguin laying on my table from Wednesday's project and thought it would be perfect for this challenge.

I embossed a piece of Core'dination Core Essential paper with a Birthday folder from Crafter's Companion.  Then I sanded the paper to bring out the light core color of the cardstock.

I used Rhea's new diezyne Half Oval Die and Pierced Oval dies too!

Here's how it looks when it is closed up and ready to mail.

I colored the Penpattern Penguin with copic markers and I created the "snow" with Stampendous Spoon full of Snow.

The inside sentiment is from the Friendly Phrases Perfectly Clear Stamp Set.
