Stenciled Trees

It's Dreamweaver Thursday and I am continuing this weeks Stampendous Tree Theme with my card today.

I loved how my sunset sailboat card turned out last week so I tried a similar look for this weeks card.

The technique is a little different than last week because the stencil creates the negative space between the trees.
I stenciled the Treeline stencil on black cardstock with regular embossing paste and allowed it to dry.

When the paste dried I put the stencil back in place.

I used a post it to mask off parts of the background and sponged ink on to the dried paste.

I layered brown, yellow, orange and rust ink on to the paste.

Once I created the Sunset background I removed the stencil.

Then I created the card.
the sentiment it from the Forest Sayings Perfectly Clear Stamp Set.

Stop by the Stampendous Blog to see who else is sharing their Dreamweaver Projects today.

Thanks for stopping by!

Looks like it's time for me to bring out my storage box full of stencils... that's so beautiful to use the black, then make it pop with the sunset colors.
