Challenge Chicks #13-Goin' Green!

I can't believe I haven't posted since Wednesday. Well, Wednesday night was Tyler's 16th birthday party. 15 kids over playing video games and watching movies! The boys went home at midnight and the girls stayed the night. After work on Friday and all day Saturday I was at the high school helping with a leadership workshop. Today, I just got the laundry done and went to see "Get Smart" with the family-which, I highly recommend!

I will try to be a better blogger this week for you! Today is challenge chicks Monday and the girls decided to "go green" which meant we had to come up with a project from something recycled. I chose this jar to recycle:

It started as this and quickly turned into this:

The plan is to fill it with some patriotic colored candy. But....I can't seem to find any. Don't they make red, white, and blue M & M's? Hershey's Kisses? Anything? If you know where to find some red, white, and blue, candy, be sure and let me know!

I punched scalloped ovals in the side so that the candy (when I find some) will show through!

Some of the other members of the design team joined the challenge this week. Have fun checking out their projects too!

Cute, Kristine! They probably had the patriotic candy, oh, back in February! I'm sure I've seen it before.

Love the candy jar idea!!! The scallop openings are perfect! And they have to have candy colors for the Forth... it just be unpatriotic! LOL!
