Swimming by to say...

Today I am sharing a pretty birthday card that I made with the new

Medium Dotted Background die.

Everytime I see this die it reminds me of bubbles in the water so I've already made a couple of ocean cards with it.

For this card I used

grass die
The orange "coral" was created with the palm tree die from the island2stamp dies.

I can't find the picture I took of the inside of my card but it says,

So excited that Stephanie came up with this awesome new 3D pop up drop in die set that makes it easy to create this amazing inside for any card!

Swimming by to Say...

I am just loving the new Mermaid stamps from 

the Stamps of Life!

I decided to make a fun flip it card with this cutie today.

I colored her with prisma pencils and blended with gamsol and blending stumps.

The card base is the rectangle flip it and I used shells2stamp too!

Here's how it looks when it's flipped open.

I hope to play with these cute little mermaids more this week...I'll share my results.

I am finishing off the week with my final card using the Beach 5-jar embossing kit from Stampendous.

How Did I Make it?

1. Fold a 11" x 4 1/4" piece of Tropical Splash cardstock in half to create the card base.
2. Lay the bubble stencil over a 4" x 5 1/4" panel of Spearmint cardstock
3. sponge the stamp and stick glue over the stencil
4. Remove the stencil and cover the glue with teal micro glitter and allow it to dry
5.Adhere panel to card base
6. Apply Versa Mark ink to the bottom portion of the card and then heat emboss the golden sand embossing powder until melted
7. Stamp the mermaid, the shell, and the turtle on white cardstock, color with pencils and die cut
8. adhere the turtle to the card with paper glue
9. Adhere the shell and mermaid to the card with 3D foam squares
10. Stamp the sentiment on a white die cut panel and back with a larger die cut mandarin panel before adhering to the card with 3D foam squares.

The Sea of Life

One of the reasons that I love being on the design team for Stampendous is all the great companies that we get product from!

For this last release we were very lucky to get some beautiful patterned paper from Graphic45!

This paper matched perfectly with so many of the fun Summer stamps that Fran created for the April release.

This week the team is sharing some of our projects that we created with Graphic45 paper!

Here is my first project that showcases Steampunk Splash from The Voyage beneath the Sea Collection and the new Jumbo Mermaid Friends Stamp set and matching dies.

I colored the images with colored pencils and blended with gamsol and blending stumps.

The sentiment is from the new Ocean Wisdom perfectly clear stamp set.
