Merry Christmas, Eh?

Happy Friday to my High Hopes Fans!

I am sharing a fun High Hopes Christmas Card that I made with one of the older images from High Hopes.

This is Joey Snowy.
He reminds me so much of Frosty the snowman with his happy face!

I colored him with Prisma Pencils (spring green, cardinal red, black, orange)
I used B000 copic marker to outline him.
I created the snow with white Puffy Paint and the glittery stickers are Jollees.

The paper is from my favorite go to pack of Christmas paper by The Paper Studio.

Thanks so much for stopping by today!

Warmest Wishes

Happy Monday!

I hope you had a great weekend.
Mine was very productive...got the tree up and the house decorated both inside and out!

Here in California, it's a little hard to get in the spirit when it's 75 degrees out but the decorations help.

This snowy card helps too!

I used Warmest Wishes from Stampendous.
It's one large image that is fun to color and makes it easy to make a quick card.

Of course adding the embossed snow adds that special final touch!

I hope you enjoyed todays card and that you find some time to stamp during the busy holiday season!

Still Shaking it up

The Stampendous Design Team has been hopping all week with our friends at Scrapbook Adhesives.

Today I made a fun winter themed shaker card with the new Snowman Trio Stamp & Die Set.

To create the shaker part of the card I cut out a thin window of 3D foam with 2 dies from the Fitted Frames A die set.

I cut a panel of patterned paper using the larger size die.
Then I adhered the die cut 3D foam to the edge of the panel.

I stamped the sentiment too!

I shook about 1 tablespoon of Shaved Ice Fragments on the panel.

Then I added a die cut panel of acetate on to the top.

I added the completed shaker panel to the card and then added the adorable snowman to the panel.

I just love how this card turned out!
I hope you enjoyed it too!

A Stencil Sneak Peek

Lot's of new great Stencils are being released by Stampendous in the July Catalog!

Today I am sneak peeking two of them.  I kept the design simple to showcase the stencils.

The first one is a fun Halloween Stencil called Broom Flight.

I stenciled it with Glossy Black embossing paste.

The sentiment is from the new sentiment set called Spooky Wishes.

The second stencil I'm sharing today is called Snowman Peeking.

This sentiment is from the new Snowman Trio cling/die set.

I stenciled it with regular embossing paste and then after it dried I sponged Spendor ink on the dried paste to color the image.

I hope you enjoyed my sneak peek.
Hop over to the Stampendous blog to check out lots of sneak peeks from the whole week!

Snowmen and snowflakes

Happy Thursday!

It's been a while since I shared a stencil project so I thought with all the crazy weather we have been having across the country this card would be perfect!

I created this card using stencils from Stampendous.

Directions:
1. Stencil the snowflake cascade on a pink panel with regular embossing paste and set aside to dry
2. stencil the snowman on a white die cut circle panel with regular embossing paste and set aside to dry
3. Fold a 11" x 4 1/4" in half to create the card base
4. tie ribbon around the snowflake panel and adhere to the card base
5. replace the stencil on the snowman and sponge Splendor ink on the image to color
6, Back with a larger pink circle panel and then with a larger scallop edge dark pink panel
7. Adhere to card with 3D foam squares
Here's a closer look at this cutie!

The Joys of Winter

I spoke with my son yesterday and he was not enjoying the joys of winter in Rochester, NY.

We live in California and I can tell he is missing our weather a lot!

So it is fitting that the Stampendous team is sharing our snow cards this week.
I love this cute card but after my conversation with my son it makes me giggle a little!

I colored the image with Prisma colored pencils and blended it with gamsol and blending stumps.

I made the snow with Spoonful of Snow.

The pattern paper is Graphic45.

I have a second High Hopes post this week.

I did a lot of paper piecing on this one.
It took a while but I think the finished product is worth the effort!

The paper is from the Paper Studio from Hobby Lobby.
I used a little Spoonfull of snow embossing elements from Stampendous for the snow.

The candy cane stickers are from Jolee's

Airbrush Fun

The Stampendous team was given some wonderful paper crafting tools to play with and this week we are sharing our creations all this week!

Here is my first project, a wintry Snowman card.

For my card today I used:

I colored the image with copic markers and used B12 and B14 in the airbrush tool to create the snowlakes and "snow".

Look at those amazing layers!
I used the Mini Perfect Layers to create 1/16" layers.
When I try to cut layers that skinny with my cutter they never quite work out but using the perfect layers tool allows me to create terrific even layers.

And...as you know when we hop there are prizes....

There will be 3 prize packages available during our hop! Each winner will have the chance to win one of the following prize package, a Perfect Rulerand Pop-Up Die Set combo package, a Mini-Perfect LayersL and Pop’cessories Die Set combo package or a Perfect Airbrush, 1 – Holly Pattern Stencil and 1 –Holly Scroll Stencil combo package. US winners only, see Official Contest Rules for details.
