I was in JoAnn's over the weekend and saw this Extreme Card Pack. Not something I would usually be interested in but IT WAS ON SALE, so, of course I had to buy it! 150 cards and envelopes for $9.99. Just 150 envelopes costs almost that much and I thought it would be fun to challenge myself to stamp some

cards using patterned cards as my jumping off point. As you can see, there are a bunch of different designes as well as some solid colors and they all have a nice texture to them. I started playing with these a little bit last night and came up with a few cards I am pretty happy with.

I started with the blue patterned card you can see on the bottom. Used the cuttlebug on a piece of blue scrap I had laying around for the top part of the card and then added the gross-grain ribbon to the middle section. I stamped the Octopus (SU!) and colored it with water color crayon and used my H20 brush to blend. Sponged the edges, backed with light blue and brocade blue and cut with scallop edged scissors. Added the brads and attached with dimensionals. The sentiment is from Hero Arts. I used my CM circle punch to punch the circles and attached with silver cord.
Stamps: Fishy Friends (SU!), Hero Arts
Paper: card from JoAnn's, light blue paper-source UK
Ink: Brocade Blue, Basic Black
Accessories: CM circle punch, brads, dimensionals, cuttlebug embossing folder, scallop edge scissors, white gross-grain ribbon, silver cord

This New Years Card was screaming out for
Cosmobella. She looks ready to bring in the New Year. This would make a great invitation. I have had this ribbon and flower for a while. I got them on clearance when the
Beverley's craft store in our town closed down.

Paper: Card from JoAnn's, black, white, pink
Ink: Black
Accessories: Ribbon, Primas, and brads from Makin' Memories, Markers and watercolor crayons
This is the last card I made last night. I will try some more tonight. This is
Imeldabella. I don't have her yet, but a stamping friend stamped me a bunch of images of her for me.

The card is the plaid design. I stamped the circle piece using simple shapes from Stampin' Up! The sentiment is from My Sentiments Exactly. I love it because it has words for the front of the card and for the back of the card. It says, "Shoes & Friends" on the front and "You can never have too many" on the inside. I'll be playing more with these cards tonight so check back tomorrow to see what I come up with!
Stamps: stampingbella.com, MSE, Simple Shapes from SU!
Paper: Card from JoAnn's, Whisper White, garden green, only orange, chocolate Chip
Ink: Basic Black, Garden Green
Accessories: gross-grain ribbon, Hodgepodge Hardware, Large Oval Punch
