This is one of the cards I made during VSN. The challenge? To raid your garbage can and incorporate something that you would normally have thrown away into your card. This is a great way to stretch your creativity. Bottle caps, onion bags, bread bag closers, and much more can all be used on your cards. When the challenge was issued, I started searching through my trash and couldn't find anything that sparked my imagination until I came across this plastic store bag that my son had thrown away. I cut out a piece of the bag and layered it on red card stock tied on the two ribbons and then attached the panel to a blue card. It looked patriotic to me so I stamped the soldier sentiment and added the silver star eyelets. I like the way it turned out. What kind of "garbage" have you used on your cards?

Who makes the beautiful sentiment stamp you used?
Great way to use your resources wisely!
I like to use the twisty ties that come off of toys, they look cute on boyish cards- and they are very plentiful!
This is different. I like it. Great colors too.
