A happy Monday calls for some happy cards, so I thought I would share a couple of fun, bright colored cards I made this weekend. I especially love the first one. Sometimes you don't know where you are headed but when you get there you have a card that just makes you smile when you look at it. This is one of those cards for me. I bought the ribbon at Michael's last week. The ribbon was originally $1.99. It was on clearance for $1 so I picked up 10 of them. When I got the the register, I found out that all the clearance items were 90% off so the ribbon cost me 10 cents each! How can you not smile at that? I wanted to use the ribbon so that made paper choices easy...pink and orange. I have had a big sheet of that striped peachy/orangy paper laying around for a while. I don't even know what ever possessed me to buy it but the orange stripes matched the orange card stock and I love how it looks. I used the flowers from Heartfelt thanks and added a little stickles because as my daughter likes to remind me...everything looks better with stickles. I have been on a real ticket corner punch kick lately. I just love what it does for a card but I've noticed that I am using it on all my cards so I am going to try to not use it for a while. I LOVE the clean lines and bright fun colors. I think I'll have to make some more of these to send out as RAK's!
This second card uses my Autumn Leaves clear stamps. Yes, you've seen these flowers before. I really like these stamps. I made this card for Beate's weekly sketch challenge. It's pretty simple but still fun. The card is red though it looks pink in the picture. The ribbons are from Michael's as are the square brads. There's that ticket corner punch again too!
I hope you have a great week!

Beautiful cards!! I love the bright & happy colors you chose. So pretty!
Great ribbon! It really makes the cards pop.
btw, the ticket corner punch is great. It looks good on the cards. Don't worry about overuse. Its what looks good and what you like.
I love the first one too. I love the colors. Pink and Orange are a great combo.
