More is More

I am having such a good time with the Dare to be Dirty challenges on SCS. Not a Fan Club member yet? Now is a great time to become one. It only cost a little over $2 per month to help support our favorite site. That gets you instant uploads, uploads on Sunday's, and access to the Dirty Dozen gallery. But for this week you also get to play in the dirty girl challenges which are a lot of fun. There will be 8 today and they post in one hour! I can't wait...but since I have to wait I'll use this time to share my favorite challenge from yesterday. Jami Sibley challenged us to make two cards. The first one was to be a basic nice card. The type you might mass produce for a swap or workshop. Then, we were to add "more" to kick it up to a more "WOW" card. This is something I am still learning to do. When I think I am done with a card I try to ask myself if I can add one more detail to make it an even better card. The first card is a nice basic card that anyone would be happy to receive. For the second card I added another layer to the card and the image. Punched out the corners on the image, sponged the edges, and then attached with brads. I also added a little glittery stickles to the flowers. It's amazing how just a little "more" makes the card!
Stamps: Simply Said
Ink: Perfect plum, Pale Plum, Certainly Celery, black
Paper: Perfect plum, Pale Plum, Certainly Celery, white
Accessories: ribbon, brads, ticket corner punch, stickles

I just tagged you! If you want to play check out my blog at Dew Drop Inn Designs.
Your cards are awesome! Especially the cow one, it's so cute! I think your trip was a dry one because we have had all the rain lately. Take care!
