Challenge Chicks #5-Chalks

Happy Monday!

As you can tell from today's challenge chick's title, out challenge today was to use chalks. Chalks are the featured item at the store and are on sale through May 1st. I have two cards to share with you using chalks-mainly because I couldn't make up my mind about my favorite way to use them!

The first one is a Thomas Kincade card. I love to use chalks to color these images. The TK images look a little intimidating to color but with chalks they are really very easy. The design of the image takes care of the detail and shading for the most part and the chalks just add the color. This image took me about 5 minutes to color and the results are fabulous!

Stamps:
-Script Essential Expressions (MLM) by Cornish Heritage Farms
-The Forest Chapel (Thomas Kincade) by Cornish Heritage Farms

Paper:

-Georgia Pacific white

Ink:

-Brilliance Graphite Black by Tsukineko

Accessories:

The second card I did uses the Chalkboard Technique. This card is very similar to one I made at Splitcoast Mania that was Ms. Tao's shoebox swap. (Thanks for the inspiration).

Want to play along? Load your chalk images made with CHF Stamps into our Gallery. Need a great reason to play along?

This fantastic announcement was posted in the forum over the weekend:

"So to provide a little extra incentive to keep you sharing your beautiful works of art, we are starting a new promotion in May...

At the end of each month three people will be randomly selected, from the gallery uploads that month, to receive a Cornish Heritage Farms shopping discount. There will be a 10%, 15%, and 20% winner.

To qualify your project must use Cornish Heritage Farms products and have obvious images that would identify the project as a high percentage of our product.

We aren't discouraging other products, just rewarding those projects that prominently use ours!

This is a truly random selection process, so the more you contribute, the more opportunity you have to get selected! So don't stress if you don't think it is good enough, or if it is a recipe from a favorite designer, upload it all, and have fun! "
