Mother's Day is May 8th!!!
Are you ready?
The Rubber Cafe wants to help jump start your mojo so this weeks Thursday Challenge at the Rubber Cafe is to make a card for your Mom or a Special Lady in your life.
For my card I decided to make a Thank You card for my son's awesome band director, Ms. Blake!
Over the years we have known many band directors and many of them are full of ego and very competitive.
What I love about Ms. Blake is that teaching isn't about her...it's about the kids!
She has super fabulous, top rated Marching Bands, Concert Bands, and Jazz Bands but that isn't what she is working towards. She truly is working to educate them and to instill a life long love of music in these kids!
WOW...what a concept..huh? The kids work hard because they don't want to let her down or let each other down and because she has taught them to do their personal best at what ever level they play.
For this card I stamped the music notes and sentiment in versamark ink and then embossed with Midnight Black embossing Powder. Then I covered the entire surface with Versamark and embossed with the Kaleidoscope embossing powder. It doesn't show well in the picture but it's really sparkly!
Stamps:
Paper:
Recollections Black Cardstock from Michael's
Ink:
Versamark by Tsukineko
Other:
Midnight Black embossing Powder by Stampendous
Kaleidoscope Embossing Powder by Stampendous
I could go on and on about why this lady is so special but I'll send her this card to tell HER instead!
What special lady will you be making a card for this week?
Be sure you check out the Rubber Cafe Challenge and link your card up here!
