This week the Stampendous team is focusing on using Embossing Paste.
This paste is perfect for using for Mixed Media projects.
Today I am going to show how I used the paste to create a beautiful background with stencils. This background was inspired by this little cutie, Potted Mouse.
To create this background:
Stencil the Black Eyed Susan Background onto white cardstock with Regular Embossing Paste.
Set aside to dry.
When dry, place the stencil back in place and sponge on color with chalk inks.
I use the Picasso Stencil to help cover spots that I don't want to get colored.
I used Olive Pastel Chalk ink for the leaves and stems and Yellow Citrus chalk ink on the flower petals.
I added Chestnut Roan to the center of the flowers.
Remove the stencil to reveal this amazing background!
Add the background to a brown card panel.
Tie brown ribbon around the panel and then add the colored image as shown.
