Mr. Fix-it Fella

This month at SCS the Fan Club inspiration challenge was to make a card inspired by the old time comic books. this card was inspired by the colors of an old comic book but also what my "hero" would be if I wrote a comic book....

Yep..my comic book hero would be Mr. Fix-it! He'd respond faster than a bullet to take care of all my honey do's in a flash! So many things that need attention in my house...a woman can dream can't she?

The image is Fixafella from Stampingbella and the letters are Playful Alphabet from Cornish Heritage Farms.

Golf anyone?

I am in Portland, OR for work this week so I haven't stamped anything new. I was at the dentist yesterday moring and then had to pack and head for the airport. I fly home late tomorrow night and I am off on Friday so hopefull I can catch up on all this weeks challenges then. I thought I would share a card that I made a couple of weeks ago for a friend of mine to give to her dad. Her dad is celebrating his 84th birthday and she wanted to send him a golfing card-yep he still golfs once or twice a week! My friend Rhonda had stamped me a bunch of images of Golfafella so I used one for this card. This DCWV argyle paper is perfect for this card. I punched out a circle of white paper and drew in the little divots with a gray marker to make it look like a golf Ball and I made the sentiment on the computer. I love these fella's but it's still hard to not make the card too froo froo but I am pretty happy with this one!

Happy Father's Day!

I am not stamping today! I promised my husband that father's day was all about him. In addition to it being Father's Day, it's also our 18th wedding anniversary today so we're going to spend the day together. Here's the card I made for him and the one I made for my FIL. The kids and I got him season one of Boston Legal on DVD. We LOVE that show but didn't discover it until this year so I know he'll appreciate this gift.
