Saturday Sketch #10

It's time for another sketch challenge between me and my friend Chaunnelle.

It was my turn to choose the sketch and I chose this simple on that I found on 

Tuesday Morning Sketches

I needed to make a birthday card for my son in law and this sketch was the perfect jumping off point!

Here is the card I came up with.

I used Party Dragon from High Hopes for the image.

I colored the image with Colored Pencils and blended it with mineral spirits and blending stumps.

The paper is from the Doodlebug Design "Happy Camper" paper pad.

For the inside I created a little pocket to hold a gift card or a little cash!

The sentiment is from My Sentiments Exactly and I got it at Hobby Lobby!

The Happy Birthday part is from the Little Cupcake stamp set from The Rubber Cafe'.

This is a super versatile sketch that I know I will use again.
Can't wait to see what Chaunnelle did with it!

Father's Day is coming

Happy Tuesday!

It's time for my weekly High Hopes Blog post.

Easter is over so now it's time for us cardmaker's to start thinking about the next card making occasion...graduation and Father's Day are next up!

Today I made cards using images that would work great for all your Father's Day cards!

This is Handy Dragon.

I colored him with colored pencils

The tools are from the Four Tool Set.

Paper is from the Doodle Bug Design Happy Camper paper pack.

I colored this one with colored pencils and used paper from the same paper pack.

The image is Flame Broilin'.

Next Tuesday I'll be back with a card that I made using one of the images from the new release.

Saturday Sketch #9

It's time for the Saturday Sketch challenge!

This is the day when my stamping buddy, Chaunnelle and I take turns challenging each other with an old sketch that we've been wanting to try.

This week, Chaunnelle chose this fun sketch from Sweet Sunday sketch challenge.

Here is the card that I came up with for the challenge.

The image is Tire Swing Dragon from High Hopes Stamps.

The sentiment is Never Tire from High Hopes.

The patterned paper is from Doodle Bug Designs Happy Camper 6 paper pad.

I colored the image with Prisma Colored Pencils.
