Best Teacher Ever

Hello Friends...back with another card using the new teachermouse2stamp and matching die set.

I used the Rectangle Flip It card die for the card base.
The letters are die cut with dies that come with the die set.

I colored the mouse with prisma Pencils and blended with gamsol and blending stumps.

Here is how the card looks when it's flipped open.

Bookmark Die

There is a new bookmark die now available from
The Stamps of Life.

The die set comes with the fun flowers on this sample.
I decided to add the Flamingo for a little fun.

These would make a great class room gift on the first day of school or your childs birthday.
It could be fun to make one for a teacher too!

I can't wait to see what you all do with it!

Saturday Sketch #6

It's time for the Saturday Sketch challenge...the day where Chaunnelle and I challenge each other to create something with one of the sketches that we have been meaning to try forever!

Today was Chaunelle's turn to challenge and she found this fun sketch from Seize the Sketch.

Here's the card I created with an image from High Hopes Stamps.

I used some Queen and Co. Washi Tape.
I colored it with Colored Pencils.

I love this image and I love this sketch.
So fun and easy to make Teacher cards with!

Now go check out what Chaunnelle made for the challenge!

I bet it's awesome!

Flippin' for my Teacher

Hello All!

Today I have a super fun card for your favorite teacher!

My favorite teacher is my daughter who teaches 4th grade in Oregon.
It's a very tough profession and I am very proud of her for giving it her all!

So this card was inspired by her.

This adorable image is Writing Mouse from High Hopes Stamps.

I used the Sizzix Rectangle Flip It card die for the card base.

I colored the image with my Tombow USA recycled colored pencils.
I used the "out of the box" technique to cut around the top of the pencil so that it stuck out of the image box.

The sentiment that I used for this card is a High Hopes image but I can't find it in the store right now.
When I do I promise that I will come back to update this post.
In the meanwhile, I think you could use any of these sentiments....Thank you so much,  A is for Apple,  or To teach is to touch.

The polka dot paper is Recollections paper from Michael's.
The school themed paper is The Paper Studio from Hobby Lobby.
The twine is May Arts and the little apple is a brad from Eyeletoutlet.com
