Scary Halloween

Nope! No Halloween card to share today. Wednesday is the day we share the card we made from the weekly Prettie Girls Challenge. Joanne challenged us to get out of our comfort zone and use some products or stamp in a style that was scary for us. Perfect timing for me because I had just been RAK'd by my friend Julie Stephenson with a couple of old fashioned looking stamps that are so not my usually style. Unfortunately, with all the travel I have been doing lately I was in a rush to get this done and in the mail to Alli, who lives in Canada so I am not that happy with the results. But I am intrigued enough to try again. Here's the card that I made. I was going for the rustic, old fashioned look but I don't think I quite got there....I'll try and make a new one to share later.

The gingham BG is by Cornish Heritage Farms and the other BG is Stampin' Up. The stamp of the men is by The Queens Dresser Drawers. I also use Stampin' Up's ribbon and their Hodge Podge Hardware and colored in the image with pastels. Those of you who visit here often know that this was a "scary challenge" for me! This weeks challenge is to use chipboard. I need to make mine and get it out in the mail. I'll share what I come up with you next week.

Go check out the other Prettie Girls to see what they made for their "scary challenge". (Jillian, Charmaine, Alli, Joanne, Christie, Julie C, Julie M)

Have a Happy and safe Halloween!

Your card turned out great. You do pretty good out of your comfort zone. Better than I do. LOL
