Thank You Card Set

Happy Friday!

I have been off work all this week and have been spending the last two days stamping with a friend of mine...so fun to work on just because projects and not Design Team work with specific parameters and deadlines for a change!

My daughter had asked for some Thank You cards to send out so I whipped these up quickly!
QUICKLY?!?!

Yep...quickly because they are pre-colored digi stamps....perfect when you are in a hurry for a nice card!
These cards were made with Fall Flowers from Fred She Said.  The sheet prints out with all four of these flowers all ready perfectly colored and ready to be made in to a card.

Here is a closer look...

The patterned paper are scraps I had in my stash.  The thank you sentiment is from Paper Pretties, Scout Sophia set.

Thanks for stopping by!

Just a guitar note

I just have a quick post today. I didn't have much time to stamp over the weekend because we spent Saturday driving up to pick up Garret from Summer Camp and then most of Sunday I was cleaning house, doing laundry, and getting packed for my trip to Missouri.

This is one of the cards I made a few weeks ago for my application to be on the Some Odd Girl Design Team. I haven't heard anything so I am assuming that I didn't make it on the team but I still like how this card turned out!

Tomorrow I'll have my last challenge card for The Rubber Cafe design team challenges here. I hope you'll stop by to see it!

Rich. Warm, & Strong

I was in Louisiana for work earlier in the week and have been going a little nuts playing catch up since then. And if that wasn't enough, my daughter decided that she wanted to paint her room before her brother comes home on Saturday so that she could store her things in his room while painting so I've been trying to guide her on that project. Very proud of my ability to sit on my hands and not paint it myself....she is 18 now after all! So...I haven't stamped at all this week- but I have a card to share that I made before I left for Louisiana.

I made this card for the DTGD challenge going on this week for fan club members at Splitcoast Stampers. It's based one of the sketch challenges. It also fulfills the "faux" challenge to use no patterned paper or store bought embellishments.

I created the patterned paper by stamping random coffee cups in brown ink on kraft paper. I used clear Acetate for one of the layers of the sketch so that it wouldn't cover up the coffee cups. I stamped one cup on a scrap piece of paper, colored it, and cut it out for the coffee cup embellishment. The sentiment and cup are GinaK. The main image is a digi from In Style Stamps.

Even though I didn't stamp this week I did color alot!!! This is what I do when I travel. I stamp/print out a bunch of images and I take them on the plane and color away. The poor TSA agents don't quite know what to think of the 100+ markers I travel with. I guess they look a little strange in the X-ray machine. And the people on the plane probably think I'm a little strange coloring away but I don't care. I am very productive and the time just "fly" by for me!

So I will be busy making cards out of these images over the weekend and I'll have lots of fun things to share with you next week! Have a great weekend!

Kennyk challenge

On Sunday morning I stalked the Kennyk challenge site until they posted this weeks challenge. It was a sketch challenge...one of my favorite kind of challenges. I all ready have a bunch of images colored just waiting patiently to be made in to a card so I got this one together pretty quickly.

This awesome lady is, Rock Chick. I will probably throw this one in my stash for sending to Tyler when she is at college. I know she will love the trendy image, bright colors, and especially the GLITTER!!!

I am off to Louisiana for a couple of days for work but I have scheduled my Digital Tuesday post for tomorrow and on Wednesday you can see my second challenge card for The Rubber Cafe design team challenge.

I'm off to the airport now...have a great week!

Dare to Get Dirty has started!

If you are a "fan" at Splitcoast Stampers, you know what I'm talking about. If you're not, why not? Ever since I started stamping SCS has been a huge source of inspiration, education, and reguvination. It's a fabulous site and I believe in helping to support it by being a "fan". One of the rewards for being in the fan club is the once a year Dirty Girl Challenges. For me it's like a week long Virtual Stamp Night. Lot's of fun challenges to get your mojo flowing! So yesterday I had a chance to play in a couple of the challenges that I'll share with you today. ENJOY!

First was a sketch challenge. Loved it so much I made TWO!

This image is a digi from Mo's digital pencil.

This image is a freebie this month from Some Odd girl.

The "TV Dinner challenge was to create a card inspired by a television show. I don't suppose I need to tell you which show this "wonder woman" card was inspired by, do I?

The image is a digi called "Supermom" from In Style Stamps.

The last card I have to show you is a CAS card. (Clean and Simple). This was made for a challenge to "Embrace the white space". Not an easy thing for me to do as I tend to fill all the "white space" on my cards but it was a fun challenge.

The sentiment is from TPC greetings set and the flower is from Stampendous "April Showers Flowers".

Well...hopefully, all these cards got you inspired to go check out the happenings at SCS and if you're not a fan club member...JOIN!

Pretty Princess

I am back from Arkansas. I had no time to post yesterday because I had so much work to do.
I woke up this morning at 3 AM and couldn't get back to sleep so I started checking my e mail and the challenge blogs. I got two pieces of really good news.
First, I saw that I made the top five for last weeks Cupcake Craft Challenge with this card.
Then I saw that I got an email from Taylor at In Style Stamps letting me know that I am one of the finalists for the current Design Team search. She sent all the finalists a cute little Princess Clarissa image. Now we all have to create a project using Princess Clarissa and from those entries the Design Team will be chosen. This is the card that I came up with.
You can't tell from the picture but after coloring her with Copic Markers I covered her dress and hat with Blossom Spica ink and her eyes with Baby Blue Spica to add a little shimmer. The pattern paper is Basic Grey Euphoria.
Here's a close up of Princess Clarissa showing how she is popped up. I'd love to know what you think of my card. I am keeping my fingers crossed that I make the team as I LOVE In Style Stamps!
As always...thanks for stopping by...I appreciate it!!!

Glitter Girl

Hump Day Wednesday and if I've done good...this is posting on time. I am in Arkansas for work this week but I scheduled my posts ahead of time.

Today's card was based on this weeks Cardpatterns sketch. I also made it for Fresh Brewed Designs Summertime challenge, the Paper Romance Challenge-glitter, and the craftalicious Challenge-cute.

The image is from Digital Delights. The paper is old DCWV from a big pack of Summer paper I bought a couple of years ago. I hope your week is going well. See you back tomorrow!

Digital Tuesday-Sketch

It's Digital Tuesday Challenge day and this week we have a lovely sketch from Lora for the challenge.

This weeks sponsor is Bella Digital Studio and she has some really cute images. If your entry is randomly drawn you will win a fabulous prize from Bella Digital Studio. It's a fabulous sketch...so why not enter for a chance to win?

I used a digital image from Mo's Digital Pencil for this card. The sentiment is a retired one from Cornish Heritage Farms. I just had to get this image when I saw it as my daughter is a sax player so I know it will get lots of use. Throwing this card in my cards for Tyler stash for when she goes to college too! I am starting to get quite a collection.

Thanks for stopping by my blog!

Pastel Cutie

I am so excited!!! The Kennyk challenges have begun! I didn't make the design team but that's ok because I am a HUGE fan of these fun teen images and am so excited to have an opportunity to play with them and to participate in the challenges each week I've been waiting patiently for the challenges to start and even had a few images colored all ready but then it turned out that the challenge was Pastel's. Well....I didn't have any colored in pastel because these images just scream bright, hot colors. I'm not even a huge pastel girl but I went through my papers and found this paper that I had used for some Easter cards.

The card was inspired by this weeks Sketch Saturday sketch.

This image is "Queens Cutie"...and she is a cutie! Dropping this in my stash of cards to send to Tyler when she is away at college next year! Kennyk has a monthyly freebie on his site so if you want to join the challenge go grab "Dixie Daisy"!

Hope you had a great weekend! Thanks for stopping by!

Many Thanks

Sorry I am so late posting today. I had this card all put together but hadn't colored him yet. Finally got to it . The sketch is from this weeks Sketch Saturday sketch. The card was also inspired by This weeks Cupcake Craft Challenge -to use a sporty theme and this week Dare U2 Digistamp Challenge-inspired by the outdoors. The patterned paper is DCWV.

I just love this image by KennyK. They will be starting their weekly challenges on Sunday...I am counting down the days. Even though this is a digital image I was able to mask it in order to sponge in the grass and clouds. I simply put a yellow post it note over the image, traced around the edge, and then cut it out! It worked great!

I am making up a few different golfer thanks to give to my friend who's son is on the golf team at the high school. I know she will enjoy having them to give to the coaches at the end of the year!

Thanks for stopping by!

Thinking of You

I don't know where this week has gone....between my sons Wisdom teeth surgery and my daughter's friend visiting from up North-it has just snuck away from me! I've been working on cards for the upcoming CHF Summer Fling challenges but I have one card to share that I made this week that isn't for that. I just recently bought this digital image from Phindy's Place.

She's been putting it together for weeks. Everyone will have a part to play and will be dressing up in 80's garb. Hope to get lots of good pictures!

Hope you've got fun plans for the weekend too! Thanks for stopping by!
