Summer Fling-Week One

Today is the first day of the 12 weeks of summer at Cornish Heritage Farms! Usually, Liz and Richard release new stamps every Tuesday and Friday but they are going to relax and enjoy the next 12 weeks of summer and instead of having new releases every week they are going to focus on a different line of stamps each week. It's called the 12 weeks of Summer Fling!

What’s the 12 Weeks of Summer Fling?

Each week will feature one of the rubber stamp lines at CHF with a blog hop and special gallery showing new samples using stamps from that line. The featured line will also be on sale for the week so definitely the time to add to your collection:) Two Gift Certificates will be awarded to 2 lucky winners who successfully follow the blog hop & comment as they go in the time allotted. This is not a race. All Blog Hops will start from the CHF Be Creative Blog on a Monday, comments must be made before midnight EST on the Thursday of that week & winners will be announced on the Friday. 1st prize is a $20 CHF Gift Certificate, 2nd Prize is a $10 Gift Certificate which will be emailed to the winning participants. The Gift Certificates will be valid for 6 months from date of issue. PLEASE NOTE that if you have a Club CHF award awaiting you on your next order, you will need to wait for the following order to use your Gift Certificate as the store only allows one discount per order.

If you upload a qualifying card (using the featured week’s stamp line) to the CHF special gallery for that week you will be eligible for the Design Team’s Favorite prize which will be a rubber stamp/stamp set of your choice up to the value of $16.99. The deadline for uploading cards for the prize will also be Thursdays at midnight. Looking forward to having you play along with us for the summer.

This weeks featured line is the Backgrounders line! I am not a part of the blog hop. But if you want to play along start here. I did make a few cards featuring three different backgrounders to share with you though!

Double Damask
Scripture Essentials I

Sophisticated Swirls
Wedding Centers

Shady Daisy
Sweet Bee

You can check out even more samples in the background gallery! I hope you liked my samples and that they helped inspire you to join in the first week of fun!

Hello

Looking forward to the long weekend! Planning on sleeping in, hanging with the family, and hopefully doing a little stamping! I have a card to post for you today but I don't plan to be back to blogging till Tuesday.

This card combines a few different challenges:
The Cupcake Craft Challenge to use gray & black & one other color
The Mojo Monday Sketch &
The cute Card Thursday challenge to use no designer paper

Obviously I used gray and black & RED for the first challenge. I know that may look like patterned paper but it's actually two background stamps by Cornish Heritage Farms. The digital image is from Mo's digital pencil. (Thanks to Tracy for enabling me!)

Thanks for stopping by. Have a great weekend!

Fuschia Tiles Backgrounder

This is the first of my scheduled posts for this week. I should be at the airport waiting for my 7 AM flight to Houston as this hits the blogisphere.

Tomorrow, Cornish Heritage Farms is releasing a new backgrounder called Fuschia Tiles. It's a really fun, versitile background. I have a couple of fun cards to share with you today. The first one is a classic black and white wedding card. I was inspired by a card I saw in Papercrafts, "A Card a Day" book.
After making this card I wanted to see how this backgrounder would look colored...

I think it looks AMAZING! What a great way to customize a card! I hope you've enjoyed the sneak peeks at this new backgrounder. It will be available at the store on Tuesday!
Thanks for stopping by!

Sweater Inspired

It's VSN weekend over at SCS and I am having a BLAST!!! If you have time you should stop by and play. It's not a competition and you don't have to participate in every challenge. It's just a fun, fun time! It's challenging, productive, and educational!

The theme for this VSN is the Winter Olympics. Did you know that each Winter Olympics has its own official sweater? I didn't either...see stamping is educational! One of last nights challenges was to make a card inspired by this years official sweater created by The Hudson Bay Co.

This is the card that was inspired by those sweaters:

That beautiful Graphic paper isn't patterned paper. I created it with the Graphic Tapestry backgrouner by CHF. The main image is from GinaK's brand new Lovely Lables set. When I saw this set I knew I had to have it...and every nestabilities set that it matched! I will be very busy stamping today but will have lots to share in the coming days so please stop by again soon!
