A Warm Hello

My son came home from school yesterday and got right to work on the wireless router issues. He fixed it and for 6 glorious hours it worked! Then it stopped again! ARGHHHHH! How spoiled we become being able to sit anywhere in the house with our lap tops and access the internet! Oh well....I can get it when I plug directly into the moden which is still better than nothing. And...I can post on my blog, so it's all good!

I bobught a few new images from stamping Bella this month and finally had time to play with them a little. I know that they are not really " new images" but "new to me" is just as good in my book!

Isn't she sweet? The sentiment is Hero Arts. This all ready went out in the mail to a senior lady that I "angel". I hope she likes it! Thanks for stopping by!

Shoes & Friends...

Here's another Bella card that I made a few weeks ago. I came across a baggie of colored Bella images when I was cleaning my craft room and decided to get them onto some cards. I must have had a plan for this when I colored it but I have no patterned paper that would match the colors on this image sot I used a CHF Backgrounder to create some matching paper.

The inside sentiment says, "you can never have too many!". I visited Hobby Lobby in Baton Rouge last night because I always have to check out Hobby Lobby when I travel since we don't have them in California. Spellbinders were 40% off so I picked up a couple...I had to, right?

Heading to Slidell today and then back to California tomorrow. Hope you are having a great week!

Congrats Bella!

Just a quick and simple Bella Card for you today. I made this a while back when I was mass producing cards to build my stash back up.

Leaving for a couple of days on a business trip to Texas tomorrow so I've got to spend today getting the house cleaned up, the laundry finished, and the grocery shopping done. Hope you're doing something more fun than that!

Birthday Bella

I was reorganizing my craft room over the weekend and came across a baggie full of Bella images that I had colored ages ago. As my regular readers know I travel a lot for work and always take a baggie of stamped images to color on the plane and while hanging out in my hotel room at night. This bag must have gotten stashed away. I haven't seen them in over a year!

Here is a quick birthday card I threw together with this cute Bella image.


Sometimes it's fun just to throw some cards together using tried and true layouts and not a lot of thought. Perfect for building up my stash quickly! See you later!!

Heading to Charlotte

Just a very quick post before I head to the airport. I don't have a lot of time but feel compelled to post after ignoring you for nearly 2 weeks!

I have been working on some quick and easy cards over the holidays. I pulled out some old stamps that haven't gotten much love lately and stamped a bunch of images, made some really quick cards and then colored then during all the various waiting around in my car times I had over the last few weeks.

I bought this cute little image from Stamping Bella a while ago but it's the first time I've inked it up. The paper is some old DCWV. I made a bunch of these for my stash because they are quick and easy! Thanks for stopping by!

Here's to You!

Well, after a very long period of having no time to stamp, I found some time yesterday!

Hubby was working in the morning and then he and the kids went to a drum line competition a couple of hours away. I basically had 12 hours free! I was really productive!

I started off with some easy cards that I could mass produce. My box of thank you cards is pretty low. I had a sheet of Bella's that I had stamped and colored ages ago that I found and decided to turn them into Thank you cards. I made 12 cards. They were all a little different but used the same paper and image and took me less than 2 hours to complete!

As you can see I kept the design pretty basic but when I need to mass produce I like to keep it simple. The inside of the cards are stamped with a Stampendous stamp, "For all you are, for all you do, Thank You. I couldn't find it to link to so it may be retired.

After I finished these I made 24 cards using an old Stampin' up set. I'll share those with you tomorrow! See you then!

You're an Angel

Happy Friday!

I know this Angel Bella is probably not new to a lot of you but it had been ages since I browsed through the Stamping Bella site. I finally checked it out a couple of weeks ago and this is one of the images and sentiments that I ordered.  I am going to use it as a thank you card.  My supply of TY cards is very low so I will make a few more of these to keep on hand.

I have been so busy working with all the fabulous CHF images that I haven't had time to play with Bella.  She is so adorable!  It was so fun to play with Miss Bella again! No...not Elvis...BELLA!

ok...I know that I said I'd have a new Elvis image to sneak peak today....but I forgot that I can't let you see it until Thursday so...I thought I'd share these Bella cards that I made for my friend Julie.

She is currently my sons band teacher and does technology for the middle school too. She interviewed for the district Technology Director and got the position so I thought it would be fun for her to have these cute little note cards.

She really liked them alot so I am going to try and make her some more this weekend. Ok...tomorrow...New Elvis...I promise!!! See you then!

Sorry I missed post yesterday. The kids were out of school and I just never got to my blog. So, I guess I owe you some extra cards....


These first two cards were made from supplies sent to me by my friend Rhonda. She is on a Yahoo group that I belong to and sent out a bunch of awesome RAK's to us. Rhonda sent me few Bella images, the flowery paper, some ribbon and fibers, and some eyelets, bella baubles, etc...everything I needed to make two really cute cards.

Kickin' up Bella!

Happy Friday!

Today I have a quick little kicked up card to share with you. This is a card that I made earlier in the week for the SCS color challenge.

Overall, I was pretty happy with the card but the right corner was looking a little plain to me so I added to this card to "kick it up" a little....and...believe it or not...I didn't add more layers of cardstock!

The color challenge was to use Ruby Red, Wild Wasabi, and Sky Blue. I am not sure who makes the DP but it had the perfect colors for the challenge and works great with Vegibella.

The Sky Blue didn't show up much in the first card so I added this gingham ribbon with the little carrot charm. Then I used my paper piercer to highlight Miss Bella.

I am much happier with the "kick up version". What do you think?

Stamping In Your Jammies Fun

Monday night was our monthly Stamping in your jammies night. Stamping in your jammies is open to all the Paperpretties members. We all hop on line and then for three hours Christie issues a new challenge every hour. I missed the first hour tonight because I was at a business dinner but I caught the last two challenges! This one is the color challenge. The colors were dark purple, rust, and straw.

This one was for the sketch challenge. It uses my new MFT set "By the Seashore". I got it in my October Paperpretties MFT box.

Can you tell that I am loving my new nestabilities? They are so great because you can make scallop shaped squares, circles, ovals, and rectangles in a huge range of sizes. They work with nearly all the die cut systems. I finallly broke down and bought the cuttlebug one and it works great with these! It's not to late to join the Nestabilities club at Paperpretties. Then you can collect them a little at a time and not layout the big money all at once. And...don't forget, Christie is waiving the membership fee until October 31st!

Expectafella & His Bella

I got home from Denver and my monthly Paperpretties card class in a box was waiting for me! Yeah!!! As soon as I had a moment I got to work.

This month's Bella was Expectafella and his Bella. Aren't they adorable? This is the card that Christie designed. The card box came with this beautiful textured card stock and Baby Bee Crate Paper as well as the flowers and bella baubles. Everything you need to make 6 of these cute cards. I made one and then made something a little different using the supplies from my box.

This card uses paper piecing and paper piercing.

Pompom Sketch

For today's card I flipped the SCS sketch over so I could play with Pompombella. She and all the paper on this card came in my Paperpretties September card class in a box.

Stamping in My Jammies!

I never got a chance to post yesterday. I am in charge of running the AYSO soccer snack bar for the first half of the season. All the profits will go to support my sons middle school band program. Only one more Saturday left and then the other middle school takes over for the rest of the season...thanks goodness. The day starts with a trip to the donut shop at 6:30 AM and ends with me mopping floors at 2 PM. Then I go home, take a hot bath, and collapse on the couch. This morning I got up and got started on the laundry and cleaning the house. I didn't finish cleaning the house yet because I had to take a break for Paperpretties Stampin' in your Jammie's night. (Well on the west coast it's really afternoon). SIYJ is held once a month for the members of Paperpretties. It's like a mini VSN where Christie Ortman issues a challenge every hour for three hours. The only rule is that you have to make the card and post it with in the hour that the challenge is posted and you have to use a stamp from one of the past Paperpretties card class boxes. I get the Bella boxes so all my cards are made with my favorite lady!

Christie just made an exciting announcement about our new design team member, Alli Miles. I work with Alli on the CHF team and she is fabulous! And...all the new MFT sets are in stock in the store too!


The first challenge was a color challenge. White, Kraft, and Aqua. The DP is by Paper Salon which is on sale for 25% at the corner store! The sentiment is Hero Arts and Jammybella is from stampingbella, of course!




The second challenge was a technique challenge using re-inkers and marbles. I also used this weeks sketch challenge from SCS. The sentiment is from Cornish Heritage farms and this image is PMSbella.

The last challenge was a sketch challenge. I really like this sketch. I used Cruiseabella. The sentiment is from Stampingbella too.

Thursday Sketches

I never had time to get to yesterday's sketch challenge on SCS so I thought I share a couple of sketch cards that I made a while ago and never shared. The first one is a sketch from Beate's Blog from a few weeks back. It uses a stamp from Cornish Heritage Farms, which is now retired.

For some reason I struggled with this sketch. I think I got intimidated by all the beautiful cards I saw using the sketch and didn't want to copy them so I froze! I'll probably go back and try it again soon.

Ready for Fall

I made two cards for yesterday's color challenge. The colors? Really Rust, River Rock, and Choclate Chip. Emily asked us to send our cards to a young girl named Victoria who is fighting cancer. Read about it here. Making a fun card for a teenage girl using fall colors was a challenge. But I figured you can't go wrong with Bella so I grabbed my cruiseabella for Victoria's card. It's going in the mail today. Even if you didn't make a color challenge card, please still drop one in the mail for her.

Sky Blue & Groovy Guava Color Challenge

Sorry for the late post...google was having server problems this morning. For today's color challenge share I used the colors from SCS's Tuesday color challenge. I received my August Bella Card Class in a Box yesterday from paperpretties and just couldn't wait to use Vegibella. I tried to just use Sky Blue and Groovy Guava but it needed something. I used a little piece of decorator paper by Crate Paper which I also bought from paperpretties.
