I made this card for last weeks Way's to Use It challenge on SCS. The challenge? To use one of the SU! sets on the retirement list. I have always enjoyed this set and will continue to use it even after retirement. It works especially well with a couple of the cuttlebug embossing folders that look like bubbles. I don't know if you've noticed but I LOVE these cuttlebug embossing folders. When they first came out I wanted to run out and get the cuttlebug as soon as I could but I had just finally gotten a Cricut (which I love) and had begun my newest addiction to Bella's so I just couldn't justify running out an buying yet another machine...but then I heard that you could use the embossing folders with the Sizzix which I have had for quite a while. In case you haven't heard of this I thought I would share the process with you.
First of all, you do need a Sizzix System Converter. You may all ready have one as it is needed to use the Sizzlits diecuts with this machine. They are available at craft stores where they sell the Sizzix.
After attaching the converter to your machine. Simply place a piece of paper in the cuttlebug embossing envelope .
Then just pull the handle down to squish the design into the paper. You will have to lift the handle up and slide the paper forward a little and then repeat to get the whole piece of paper embossed. This is what the paper looks like when you take it out of the embossing folder.
I used a sponge to darken up the raised parts a little bit for my fishy card.
Stamps: Fishy Friends, Simple Sayings II
Paper: Brilliant Blue, Bashful Blue, White,
Ink: Brilliant Blue, black
Accessories: watercolor pencils, ribbon, eyelets, cuttlebug embossing folders, sponge, ticket corner punch.

This is so cute - I love the Cuttlebug "bubbles" with this little guy - it's perfect!
I am in love with the Cuttlebug folders - but live in an area where they are hard to find. I have been looking for the distressed stripes. Glad to see a blogger show the Sizzix which is what I use and rarely see! Thanks for the great blog candy offer!!
