Color Challenge Harbor
I made today's card for the color challenge over at SCS. It's been way too long since I've gotten to participate in one of the challenges because I've been so busy! The colors worked perfectly for this new image. It's the July Stamp of the MOnth over at CHF and will be available tomorrow!

Boquet of Friendship
Just a quick post today as I am still unpacking and catching up after my quick trip to Georgia. I have gone three months with out traveling and now I am traveling for three weeks in a row! I am out of practice...forgot to pack a few things and didn't leave any planned meals for the family. I'll have to do better next week!
I just had time make a card for today's SCS color challenge. Three new Shady Tree Studio images are being released to day and this is my favorite one. The backgrounder is picotage print and the sentiment is from Friend Centers from the Mona Lisa Moments line.
Hopefully, I'll get caught up by tomorrow and can stamp some more. Thanks again for stopping by to see me!

Scrappy New Year!
I am starting out the new year with a commitment to working on my scrapbooks more often so I thought I would make a layout for today's Prism Color Challenge over in the CHF Forums.
Today's colors are:
Classic Red
White &
Black

I chose these colors because they scream New Years to me but also because they were perfect for scrapping the pics from the Pasadena Honor Band that the kids were just in!
Here's my page:
Stamps:
-Aged Sheet Music Scrapblock
-Design at top is from America the Beautiful (Kim Hughes)
-Everyday Petites (MLM)
-Journal block made with Writers Block Backgrounder
-"You Look Marvelous" sentiment from Photo Op (The Rummage Bin)
-"Great Work!" sentiment from Train Expressions (MLM)
Paper:
-Prismatic White, Black, & Classic Red
Ink:
-Memento Tuxedo Black dye ink by Tsukineko
-L'Amore Red by Palette
Tools:
-Cricut used to cut out Title
-Spellbinder die
The weather outside is cold and wet for most of us so I think you should stay inside and stamp and scrap today! If you get a chance to play with today's colors I'd love to see what you come up with!

If you get a chance to try this color challenge please post a link to your card back here. I'd love to see what you come up with.

Prism Color Challenge
It's my week to host the color challenge over at Cornish Heritage Farms. I was inspired by some of the patterned paper in the new Wassail collection by Basic grey...so inspired that I made three different cards with the same paper and color combo.
The colors for this week's challenge are Blush Red Dark, Herbal Garden Medium, & Sunflower Medium:

For the second card I used one of the light houses from Beacon of Hope from the Scene it line.

My Last card was made using the Bird Sampler set. I am really happy with how it turned out.
For details about these cards check them out in the CHF Gallery. It's a great place to get inspiration for all the great CHF Stamps.
If you have these colors, I'd love to see your take on today's color challenge!
I'm off to finish putting up the Christmas decorations.
Happy Saturday!

CHF Color Challenge
Every Saturday is Prism Paper color challenge day over at Cornish Heritage Farms. Today's colors were Intense Kiwi, Candle Glow Medium, and Blush Red Medium.

These colors were inspired by the Daisy D patterned paper I used in my card.
I have always loved this prayer. The stamp is part of the Thomas Kinkade series of stamps by Cornish Heritage Farms.
I had a chance to hang out and stamp with my friend Rochelle yesterday. I have to put the finishing touches on a couple of things but I hope to share them with you tomorrow.
Have a great weekend!

Challenged Chick

It's a great little sketch but I just couldn't come up with anything worthy of sharing and I have a trash can full of cardstock to prove it! I think it's because the top and bottom circles are chopped off and my neat, symmetrical mind just couldn't do it...
Some of the other girls played and they came up with some terrific cards so you should go check them out!

Why Not?
Yesterday was my turn to host the color challenge over at the CHF Forums. We do one weekly and Julie Campbell and I take turns hosting! It's been so HOT here in California that I decided we needed to go with summer as our inspiration so I chose prismatic colors, Intense yellow, Intense orange, and intense Kiwi.

I wanted to do a fun summer card and I love Kim Hughes Summer Fun set but it doesn't have any sentiments so I searched through my collection to find this one from Motivational Centers. I am not going to be wearing a bikini anytime soon but I always marvel at the women on the beach who wear them even though they probably shouldn't...but then again...why not???

Stamps:
-Hexagon Tiles Backgrounder
-Summer Fun (Kim Hughes)
-Motivation Centers (MLM)
Paper:
-Intense yellow, Intense Orange, Intense Kiwi, and Simply Smooth White by Prim Papers
Ink:
-Adirondack rust and pitch black dye ink by Ranger
-copic markers
Accessories:
-Stickles by Ranger
-dew drops by The Robins Egg from www.ellenhutson.com
Tools:

Memorial Day Color Challenge

Julie Campbell and I will be taking turns hostessing the challenge every Saturday. I hope you'll check it out!
Today's colors are Twilight Dark, Blush Red Dark, and Suede Brown Light. I thought these would be good colors for the Memorial Weekend. I am going to give this card to one of the Veterans at the American Legion who helps run the Memorial Day ceremonies in Moorpark I have seen a couple of other people highlight the flag on this image and I just love the way it looks. If you make a card for the challenge be sure and link back here. I'd love to check it out!

Sending Love
I am working frantically to get a photo album done for my son's band teacher. She has taught band at the middle school for 12 years and taught for over 20 total. She is leaving the classroom at the end of the year to work in the district office. My daughter had her as a teacher for three years before heading to high school.
I have collected as many photos as I could from the over the years of the kids, the concerts, the trips, etc. to scrapbook as a going away gift to her. I kept thinking I had lots of time to finish it but just realized this weekend that the final concert is on the 20th so I have got to quit procrastinating! The pages are pretty simple because they are so filled with pictures but it still takes time! Needless to say, I haven't been working on cards this week.
But, I decided to take a quick break this morning to make a card for the color challenge. The colors were Sky Blue, Ruby Red, and Pumpkin Pie. Those colors sounded perfect for one of my favorite Friendly Kritters images and I think they worked out well. Here is my finished card:

Cornish Heritage Farms Stamps:
-Polka Dot Backgrounder
-Bunny Presents (Friendly Kritters)
-sentiment from Silhouette Blooms II (Kim Hughes)
Paper:
-Georgia Pacific white
-Iced Teal, Desert Coral Dark, Blush Red Dark
Ink:
-Adirondack Aqua & pitch black dye ink by Ranger
-Copic Markers
Accessories:
-white EP
-twill ribbon by Ofray
Tools:
-Nestabilities by Spellbinder
-scallop edge punch-Martha Stewart
-Sponge
I hope to finish the album tonight. I all ready have tomorrows project done...it's our second layout challenge. Check back and see what the Designers come up with!
