Did you catch the new stamp release yesterday from High Hopes Stamps?!?

Here is a card that I made for the release using the new release using Alvin Elvin.

I colored this cutie with Prisma color pencils.
The Dies are Spellbinder Classic Circle and Classic Scallop Circle.

The paper is by The Paper Studio from Hobby Lobby.

The sentiment is Magic of Christmas.

Celebrate

I know that only half the country is celebrating after the election in the US but I think we should all celebrate because we live in a wonderful country where we are free to vote for the candidate that we want and once chosen we have a peaceful transition of power.

So today I am reminding you to Celebrate and look for the good in our country!

For today's card I used the new Blocksentiments2stamp from the Stamps of Life.

I used the Start Dies for this card too!

The paper is Laugh Collection from TSOL.

You can see more great samples in the Gallery so be sure to check them out!

Birthday Celebration

It's celebration Tuesday and I need a birthday card for a friend of mine. I haven't used my GinaK, "Make a Wish" set lately so I brought it out for this card. Remember that a portion of the proceeds from every one of these sets is being donated to the Make a Wish foundation by Gina.

The designer paper, the scallop punches and the primas are from the Paperpretties Corner Store. I just got this new paper piecing stencil from Ellen Hudson's store and I love it!

I am exhausted because I stayed up late to check out the CHF Treasure Hunt when it went live. Have you checked it out yet? Well, hurry over because you only have till 9 AM MST on October 4th to enter to win all 7 of the new Kim Hughes stamps!

Happy Tuesday!

Birthday Sketch

I made this card for last weeks SCS sketch challenge. I just got this MFT birthday set from Paperpretties. I really like it but I am still getting used to the headless people Kim makes. The dress is paper pieced with DP from DCWV. This card is really bright and fun in person!

Stamps: My Favorite Things
Paper: Apricot, Bright Pink, DCWV, white, coral
Ink: black, apricot, coral, pink, blush
Accessories: brads, photo corner punch, ticket corner punch, pop dots, paper piercer

Tuesday Celebration

For Celebration Tuesday I thought I would share one of my old standby birthday cards. Years ago, when I first started stamping I saw a similar card in the SCS gallery and decided to case it. I have been making this same card ever since then. I always have a few made up in different colors. It's a pretty simple card and yet so pretty in person. The cake is embossed and colored with markers. I put a little stickles on the candles and I used a BG stamp on the card base but you can't see it in the picture. It's funny to look at it now because I feel the need to add something...brads, primas...I don't know...just something...but I'll leave it alone!

Happy stamping!

Stamps: All Stampin' Up
Paper: Apricol, pumpkin, white
Ink: Black Craft, pumpkin
Accessories: markers, ribbon, silver cord, sponge, stickles

Celebrate Tuesday!

I made this birthday card with Stampin' Up's Simple Shapes and GinaK's new Make a Wish set. You should go check it out. It's a great set with several versatile images and sentiments and $7 from every set goes to the Make a Wish foundation. The colors and design were inspired by the ribbon which I purchase at Michael's.

Stamps: SU! & GinaK
Paper: red, white, orange, green galore
Ink: red, orange, green galore
Accessories: ribbon, Marvy circle scallop punch, star eyelets.

'Tis the Season....

For Weddings!

This card was inspired by Friday's Limited Supply challenge on SCS. The challenge was to dust off some old stamps that you hadn't used in a LONG time. I love this set from Stampin' Up. It was in the 2002 Spring Mini Catalog as the free hostess incentive. I haven't used it much since then but I keep it around because it's perfect for wedding cards and is my only wedding set. I am going to leave it out on my craft table and hope tke some more cards with it soon.

Stamps: Stampin' Up

paper: Amethyst, grey, velum

Ink: black, amethyst

Accessories: stickles, ribbon, silver cord, sponge
