Elvis is in the House

Very excited to share a new Elvis set with you today. As you may know CHF has been releasing Elvis images individually on wood blocks for a while. This new set is unmounted and is full of great Elvis images-some which have been released individually before and some that are new. It's a very economical way to add Elvis to your stamp collection! It's called Elvis Silhouettes.

Here are a couple of cards I made with it.

You can see more great samples in the CHF Elvis Gallery. Enjoy! And thanks for stopping by!

I can't believe that it has been over a week since I have posted here!!!

I flew to Mississippi on Monday morning and just returned yesterday. Busy week of work with lots of driving and arriving at my hotel each evening tired and ready to hit the sack!

I am leaving again on Monday for a week of work in Atlanta but I am going to try and find some time this weekend to get some projects pre-loaded on my blog so you'll have a reason to come visit while I am away!

This is a card that I made with the newest Elvis image from Cornish Heritage Farms. It's called Back in Black.

Turquoise Elvis

I didn't get a lot of stamping done yesterday. I was in my craft room most of the day but didn't accomplish much. Don't know where the day went or what the heck I was doing...

I did manage to get this Elvis card completed: Stamps:
-Western Elvis (Elvis)
-Elvis Is...(Elvis)

Paper:
-Tawny Dark, Medium, & Light by Prism
-Turqoise paper is from Basic Grey

Ink:
-Broken China Distress Ink by Ranger

-Ribbon came off a birthday package (Isn't is cool?)

I have had that ribbon laying on my desk for a few weeks. It was on one of my birthday packages and I just loved the colors and knew I would use it for something. I love how it pulls everything together on this card.

No stamping today. Hubby and I are going on the Holiday Home Tour and then heading to Pasadena to watch the kids rehearse. They are marching around the track in their uniforms so it's great picture taking time! Have a great Sunday!

Dabber Challenged...

Today's Monday Challenge Chick's Challenge is to use Ranger Acrylic Paint Dabbers.  I LOVE these things.  They come in a bunch of great colors and are on special at the CHF store right now!

One of my favorite products to use on a clear card is the acrylic paint dabbers.  It's easy to apply and looks great on the card!  Here is the card I made for today's challenge:
It uses the new "comeback Elvis" image which was released last week.  Elvis is embossed on the Candle Glow Oval panel. I used the Ranger Gold Acrylic paint dabbers on the clear card stock and for the sentiment on the black panel.

Here is a closer look at the card:
I am sure the other girls came up with some great projects too!  Have fun blog hopping!

Elvis is Fun!

This is another card that I made with the new Elvis release, Elvis is...

I just think that it is such an awesome addition to the Elvis line. That start is made from Tim Holtz grungeboard. Have you tried this stuff yet? It is so cool. It's like mushy chip board. It's got a great texture, fun shapes, and you can distress it in a bunch of different ways.

Hey-did you notice what a good little blogger I've been this week? I am very proud of myself after a couple of slacker weeks. I'll try to keep it up! Hope your week was good...see you tomorrow!

Elvis is in the Building!

ok...finally, my Elvis peak for you.

I love this silhouette. This Elvis is being released by Cornish Heritage Farms on the 25th and if you haven't checked out the Elvis collection you should head over their soon because it is getting pretty big.

Don't look too closely at my background. I was using my jig and thought I was stamping straight but once I started putting the card together I realized..not so much. But I still like how it came together.

Stamps:
-Elvis Sketch by Cornish Heritage Farms
-Elvis by Cornish Heritage FArms

Paper:
-Prismatic white, Classic Red, & Black by Prism

The Backgrounder Blitz starts tomorrow over at CHF. Come join us for some fun challenges! I am leaving for Long Beach this afternoon and will return late on Saturday. I've set up my blog to post automatically while I am gone so check back in to see some of the fun I've had with the Backgrounders so far! Have a great weekend!

CHF Challenge Chicks #3 (or Why I love CHF!)

The girls on the CHF design team are taking turns issuing the weekly "Challenge Chicks challenges" (say that five times fast...). This week Alli wanted us to share at least three reasons why we love Cornish Heritage Farms and to make a project that in someway represented one of the reasons.

Coming up with reasons why I love Cornish Heritage Farms wasn't hard....but trying to limit it to three was! So, three things I love about Cornish Heritage Farms, in no particular order are:

Reason #1: CHF is so well respected that they have been granted exclusive rights to images from several well known companies such as Thomas Kincade, Friendly Kritters, Elvis, AND... there are even more to come! I've made cards to share for each of the exclusive lines that CHF currently has.

Thomas Kincade:

This card is made with the clear plastic that comes with the stamp sets from CHF. I used my Nestabilities to cut the little slice out. I think it is a very cool effect!

Friendly Kritters:Elvis: Reason #2 : The technique lovers area of the forum. There are weekly tutorials in the CHF forum which teach new techniques & shares new product information. I learned how to make the Elvis card above in this tutorial.

Reason #3: Fast service and free shipping over $35 order. Liz usually turns the orders around in a couple of days. Everything ships Priority mail in the US and if your order is over $35, shipping is FREE!

There are many other great things about Cornish Heritage Farms. Go check out the other Challenge Chicks Blogs to see why they love CHF and oogle over their latest projects.

A New Elvis Stamp

This guitar stamp is the latest stamp to be added to the Elvis collection of stamps at Cornish Heritage Farms. It's being released on Thursday. It works great with the other Elvis stamps but it is also just a really cool stamp if you like guitars and music.

This is a really quick and easy card that I made to showcase this new stamp. It doesn't show well in the picture but there is stickles on the black design on the guitar which looks really cool in person.

Stamps:
-Elvis' guitar (Elvis) by Cornish Heritage Farms
-Just a note by Cornish Heritage Farms

Paper:
-Georgia Pacific Smooth White Cardstock
-Prismatic Black cardstock by Prism Papers
-music note paper is a copy of my daughters band music

Ink:
-Brilliance Graphite Black pigment ink by Tsukineko

Accessories:
-Black Stickles by Ranger Inc.

This is another card I made with the guitar as my main image. I used a little crackle accent on the guitar which gives it a cool aged wood look.

Stamps:
-Elvis Guitar (Elvis) by Cornish Heritage Farms

Paper:
-Prismatic Vanilla Cream, Suede Brown Medium, and suede brown Dark

Ink:
-Adirondack Espresso and Hazelnut dye ink by Ranger Inc.

Tools:
-Nestabilities by Spellbinder
-Crackle Accents by Ranger, Inc.
-Word Window Punch by EKSuccess
-Brads by Makin' Memories
-Paper Piercer

The stamp of the month for April is adorable! I am hoping it will be in my mail box on Thursday. If it shows up I'll have a little sneak peak for you tomorrow! Until then, have a great day!
